Re: YOU WEREN'T "REJECTED"!
If you truly want to go that bad then you'll find a ticket - whether it's from a scalper or not. Brianna, you seem like a cool person but I really find myself disagreeing with this sentiment. As an international entrant, and loser, of the lottery, I was already looking at spending £250 on a ticket,...

With all due respect, some new comers remind me of scouts expecting to earn all available merit badges before their first scout meeting. In what way exactly am I doing that? I asked for clarification about what you meant, in what I thought was a concise and respectful way. You seem to have misinter...

I'm not gonna be able to help so much with practical hands-on things as I have serious tendonitis issues in both of my arms. "Participate" versus "don't commit your first year"
Hi guys. I'm reading through some posts in this forum and trying to reconcile the whole participation ethos with the advice everybody gives to newbies not to commit to anything in their first year. While I can very much see the logic behind advising newbies not to commit (apart from anything, I supp...

I actually love the idea of a Merkin March!!! Hahaha! One thing I really would love to see on the playa, but I'm not sure whether it's a good idea/people would go for it would be a sort of...musical flashmob. What I mean is, you know in musicals when everyone is going about their business and then t...

also worth noting is that any camp serving food to the public (or over 150 to their own private camp, as per 2011 rules) will have to have their permit posted in a very visible public place where anyone should be able to see it.. it is the first thing they wanted to see when my kitchen got inspecte...

I wasn't actually at all worried about the misting menace...I appreciate, as you guys have said, that transdermal absorption of a drug is not exactly an efficient route of transmission. It was more concern about food and drink being spiked...obviously a far more efficient route of transmission.

I think the biggest thing here is verbal communication as someone already stated. "Are these special?" "Is there acid in the stew" "Is this going to f**k me up" are all relevant, reasonable questions to ask. If you get a giggle, wry smile, or wink, you may consider getting your cocktail somewhere e...

Re: Documentary About Burning Man
The self expression thing caught my attention some however. There was a lot of self expression evident in the art, the dwellings, the sculpture, mutant vehicles and in some of the clothing. But what really really struck me was a lot of the uniformness of the clothing. One day my "self expression" r...

Ok, I'm sorry if this seems kind of a negative topic to raise, but I am sorta concerned about whether spiking of any kind goes on at BM. Hi, welcome to ePlaya! What they all said, though I'll add that there are numerous places to pick up supplies (and not just a Wal-Mart) in Reno. I can't imagine how the trip won't cost you thousands and thousands of dollars - even if you live in the US and have transportation, it can be an expensiv...
