Looking for a few good campers near Redwood CIty
I’m the mayor of Dust Menagerie Village, camp lead of the Fat Pandas. We’re a pretty chill camp/village. Large portion of the village is LGBT- probably about 50%? Also a decent portion straight, married, poly and just about everything else. Be a grown up, get consent- otherwise we don’t care. It’s n...

Logo on shiny side, white no shiny or logos on the other. so, unfortunately logos on the outside unless we can remove them, paint them or co-apt them in to other arty things.

Hexayurts- how to remove the logos on my Xci 286?
Building lots of hexayurts tomorrow. Ended up on Hunter XCI 286 panels. Anybody ever tried to get the logos off? we were going to try acetone, but I don't want to screw up the coating.
Would love thoughts/experiences- otherwise will experiment tomorrow

Because of Burning Man I'm writing my first book. I needed an asskick to my creative juices and watching fire tornados attack a crowd of costumed anarchist was just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks for the help guys. The coat in the end was not perfect, but it did okay. I will get pictures and post them soon. Slvrnmph: I am using three different patterns actually :) but the jacket back/front and sleeves are all from one pattern. It's a good guess though. Drawingablank: That makes good s...

Wait WAIT! I have a ticket solution: Shut the fuck up. Buy your tickets like this private business offers them or fuck off. Going to Burning Man is not your constitutional right. It's an event. You aren't happy about it, don't fucking go- I wonder why you even bother posting here. Tickets sold out. ...

First.. I just have to say AAAAARRRRRRGGHHHHH. Okay, I feel better. What are you doing for SF Decompression!?
Permits from the government are pending, but it looks like we'll be making grilled cheese for you kids at Decompression. AND, as it's local and not such a logistical challenge- we'll be adding some extra special goodies! AND since the weather will be what it always is in SF, I'll be wearing those co...

Re: I want to be adopted as a burning girl virgin,
Welcome to eplaya. We do need some more information about you so you can find the right fit, if it exists. Where do you live? It's not 100% necessary to live next to your campmates, but it surely helps come prep time. What do you do? What are your interests? I'm going to hope that you are maybe a do...

I prefer motorcycle sunglasses to goggles. I think they are more comfortable, fog less and do an adequate job keeping the dust out of my eyes. I had these this year: http://www.amazon.com/Pairs-Kickback-Padded-Motorcycle-Sunglasses/dp/B003FBV8ZW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347758795&sr=8-1&keywords=moto...

I agree with many that leaving the original labels on something of that nature is wise. I would feel more comfortable with a sealed container. I would also love if you went the extra mile and did a sticker or something clever to it.
I think it's a great gift. Keep up the good work.

did you clean the top and inside of the truck frame rails under the house? Clean the top of the tanks? Top of the house batteries, etc. Those collect a lot of dust and can cause corrosion.... Can I ask a dumb question? What's with the dog legs coming off your cover. Do you intend for people to sit there? I have a 10 foot 1V dome, everyone sits inside the perimeter. It seems to me you could save yourself some fabric, not loose any real shade and make things a whole lot easier for your sea...

Don't go to yelp, ect., until after the credit card company. Of course you're angry, but get this resolved (or completely not resolved) before you begin the tear down the reputation campaign. Sounds like they are confusing your rental with someone else's. Have you contacted your credit card company? If they were happy with the condition you returned at at drop off, then a week later decided to bill you 700.00 - most card companies would intrerpet that as outright fraud. It might get to ...

Danibel, I hear you. I've been careful, or so I thought, to avoid this drama. For example, we wrap every fabric surface of the RV in plastic wrap and then recover it in fabric prior to leaving San Fran. No shoes in the RV, etc etc. Sadly it doesn't appear to have been enough. I really do love having...

That said I've made a wonderful discovery. Right by the San Leandro RV return place in Oakland is a car wash, the San Leandro Car wash & detail. For $150 USD they washed & cleaned the inside, outside and made it GOOD as new. They were so kind and sweet and so very helpful. God, I'm a bit jealous. I...

I sorta kinda did some fundraising on the side for the sammie wagon. Well here it is, the armchair lawyer. How can you HONESTLY say you are participating in a "decomodified" community when you're skimming HUGE sums from the camp? I know some might call it PROFIT but in the context of BM I call it what it is - the skim. One more time for the slow kid. The vast majori...
