I learned that I am not living my "real" life with nearly enough creativity, honesty, and caring. I'm going to change that, or go crazy trying.

As a first-timer I too was a little taken aback by what I perceived as not so much unfriendliness as coolness and an unapproachable kind of demeanor to some folk.
