Re: "Directed Sales" Ticket Evolution

I had to create a new profile to make my email address match the one my original invitation was sent to so i could see the 'invite team' button. i'd like to delete the old (broken) profile, but i don't see any links/buttons or other instructions on how to do that, even tho the FAQ mentions that dele...

Re: Mutant Vehicle Registrations OPEN til May 15th

i dont know any of that stuff. i gather from what ive heard at the theme camp forum, and read, the ticket assistance is to make sure the camp can be built/taken down/cleaned up... that's the problem. we have enuf ticketed folks to set up the camp, but not enuf to take it down. maybe we'll just leav...

Re: Mutant Vehicle Registrations OPEN til May 15th

this went out to the DMV announce list.. basically the same thing as for theme camps OK, i read all that and worked my way through the application form. However, nowhere in the MV pre-reg form does it ask if I have/need a ticket. I understand the 'worthy' vehicles might be eligible, but how do they...

Re: Mutant Vehicle Registrations OPEN til May 15th

Anyone know if they might be allocating TICKETS to any mutant vehicles that 'make the cut' and don't yet have enough?

Or is that strictly limited to THEME CAMP registrations?

thanx.

Re: New Blog - Ticket Update: Rebuilding Black Rock City 201

So if they'll be assigning the 10k tickets to camps/MV/artists, wouldn't you think they'd add some questions about that to the registration forms? Registration for camps/MV/art/etc supposedly opened yesterday (feb 15th), but while the existing forms ask if you've purchased a ticket they don't appear...

If that were the case, then 5 out of 7 or 8 people (~60-70%) who wanted tickets would have them by now,
and that doesn't seem to be the case (20-30%, according to theme camp polls).

Only time will tell where the 'missing' tickets went...

Re: Trilo on Tickets

b) You don't do non-transferable tickets with a NAME and ID. That's privacy invading and slow and almost like a will-call. You do them with a face. The ticket taker has a tablet or phone. They scan the ticket. Up pops the pre-stored jpeg the ticket buyer provided. You look at them, you look at the ...

Re: What STEP is Designed to Do

As I understand it, STEP is supposed to be a way for burners with EXTRA tickets (to re-distribute them safely. Sounds like a good idea, EXCEPT that we're all pretty sure that there are very few, if any, EXTRA tickets out there. The few I know of are already spoken for to fellow camp mates who were n...

Re: Wanna total mess over scalpers – here is an idea -

in another thread I wrote:10 seconds per ticket x 53,000 tickets= An extra 8834 hours at the gate.
what sort of math is that? i get 530,000 secs / 3600 sec/hr == 147 hours. not 8834...

drop by Math Camp sometime and we'll sort you out... :-)

Re: Official "Not Awarded Tix" Thread

The worst is that STEP requires the person selling it back to the community to LOSE $$$. Imagine how much that will piss people off. You would think that BMORG, having created this mess, would suck it up and pay the fee. hunh? In all fairness, if i had an extra ticket to sell, i would NEED to sell ...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

Wonder if Trilobyte would comment on the draw order and confirm whether they drew tier 1 first etc? It sure would be nice for there to be some clarity around that issue. If you (the consumer) are "buying" a chance at 40,000 tickets, but they pulled tier 3 first so those people who "won" tier 3 off ...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

we don't know how they did the drawing, and they're not saying. we can only go by when people got their emails, which may have processed in a completely different order than the drawings were done in. transparency is not part of the process here. personally, i'm concerned about the 'scrubbing' that ...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

A friend of ours reports getting a confirmation email and bank charge ~3pm pacific for a single $240 ticket. (she registered for only one.) that seem to debunk the current consensus about how all this is going down, unless 1) she or her browser messed up and actually signed up for a $390 ticket inst...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread

actually, i think it's the DST setting that needs to be OFF this time of year. dunno why the silly thing can't figure that out on it's own. I know if i were in Arizon, i might be using a differnt DST setting than others in the same time zone, but it should at least default to the most 'normal' setti...
