I've never been able to go for under $1500. First off is the ticket price, say $200. Then camping supplies-When your there you realize how cheap your shit actually is and how ill prepaired you are for the event in terms of wind and shade. My carpot cost $200. Stove $50. Generator $900. 3 tires for t...

ALSO, dry ice will work best in an extreme cooler. those are the ones that say they'll keep ice frozen for 5 days. Packed my cooler on friday night with frozen goods, duct taped it shut, then opened it wed. afternoon. The ice was gone, but all the food was still frozen. Since it was frozen, I probab...

I'm trying to sell my tent trailer thats been beat up by 2 burns and am looking at a 20' travel trailer with plenty of amenities. So far I realize that I can buy a nice trailer for the price of renting an RV for the week. I'm not going the RV route because I used to own one and it was nothing but pr...

In my opinion, Dicky wasn't the art, but rather the canvas. the people that gathered and did whatever are the art. It was the scene itself. He's just a man in a box with a ittle whole. What he does has serious limits. What thoes who have come to watch him do is limitless. In a sence, he's turning s...

Thanks for the ideas. When people are building support cages for say the upper deck, do people go with a lighter yet strong metal like aluminum, or mostly steel. Just thinking weight wise. I understand making the floor of that upper part a grate for those purposes. A stake-bed truck seems to be a go...

Good stuff. The dream is to bring an art car to the event, and possibly run it in a couple parades throughout the year. The more I think about it the more I realize that it has to be able to haul about 20 people max. I thought about using a small bus chasis or a heavy duty work truck. I also thought...

Art car groundwork
What dou you think is the first thing to think about when wanting to do an art car? The finished product or the vehicle that will be the foundation? Also, when planning an art car that you figure will cary a bunch of people, what kind of vehicles do people like to build off of that are not monster b...

Electric wheelchair
Okay, my thought for next year was to take an electric wheelchair and use it as the base for a small art car thingy. I'm guessing it'll only have enough power to move about 2 people, is that right? Anyho, does anyone have experience with using these motors? I think I've seen a couch on one, and I kn...

I am curious as to how the camps were laid out that got stuff taken. I know that when people are camping on the outer streets, their stuff pretty much opens right onto the street, so it makes for an easier acces to their stuff. I know thats how I was camped when I went solo. This year we blocked mos...

I was one of the line adorers @ the party and fortunately didn't notice many men at all. All I can say is dont go with a public defender. I dont know any lawyers myself unfortunately, but it is a good idea to have a fairly good one. More than likely you'll do a plea bargain with the DA for a lesser charge. Any defense attorney will get you that. A public defender will just take the firs...

The Honda EU2000 worked great all week long, no complaints. Well one: I didn't get a spare gas cap in time to rig the ting to an external tank, so I had to refuel it every night at dusk. But it ran all night with no complaints from neighbors (it's kind of a white noise). Also, here in L.A., there wa...
