Re: MutV On Playa Insurance
That's the concern, there really doesn't seem to be a way to have everything aboveboard. I don't understand how so many MVs are either pulling it off and saying nothing, or are just rolling lawsuit targets waiting for a screwup. Also I don't understand how there isn't help navigating the process for...

Thanks guys! I don't know if our broker tried Haggarty but I sent that over. she's had an assistant come in to try and look at the loopholes for us, just seems like a total mess.

MV Insurance: Can't be Done?
Apparently after years of making DMV-mandated modifications we've managed to make our bus uninsurable, according to our broker who is accumulating quite a few rejections. Just about any modification not done by a professional coachbuilder will put you into this category. I emailed the DMV about it t...

Loved seeing the truck, one of my favorites out there. Was just so darn cool, especially with flamethrower stacks. You could always do what the Tie Fighter did and just cover the edges in LEDs, definitely no missing those guys. http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr06/2013/9/6/11/enhanced-bu...

I have been told the driver sits in a cockpit surrounded by LED screens and no actual windshield. That's the only rumor about the duck I'm interested in. I kid with regards to saying proper. But seriously - get involved with bigger projects next year. The bigger the project, the earlier you arrive (with proper paperwork, of course). The earlier you arrive, the quicker you get through gate and greeters. Took us four hours after arriving Friday around...

Well, as far as I can see...there is no place for a driver on that thing (unless it always traveled in reverse). If it wasn't an art car, maybe it was classified as some other kind of art installation, and the tow vehicle got an art support pass from the Artery? I have been told the driver sits in ...

Best (from a first year in a large art-car camp): Aphrodite's Tuesday night set at OT... best DJ set of my life, fucking amazing! Friday's Whiteout... really needed it. Helped guide the car back behind Wall St. so we could have a windbreak. Amazing camaraderie, sensory deprivation, the whole shebang...

If you need to give your will call tickets to multiple people, we suggest this: have the name changed to t...

You can buy a ticket for less than $650. That's hardly rich. For those on limited budgets, it just means organizing your life and being a little more useful to others so you can earn some extra cash. Mow a few lawns, pick up a part-time job, or invest in an oil company that pays big dividends. Oooh...

Face value or fuck off. The seller should eat the charge for being "that guy" who purchased a ticket they don't need, helping cause the the "ticket fiasco." Just my opinion. Ideally yes, but a lot can happen in 6-7 months of someone's life, and trying to cover costs on their end doesn't really stri...
