I went to my 1st national rainbow gathering this summer. Too many idiots showed up without a tent, sleeping bag or even a pair of shoes.

I would say easily 10-20 percent showed up with nothing including shoes.

I do hope those people stay the hell away from black rock city.

I wear them enough over the years I had real soles put on them long ago. Was a drag trying to find a cobbler willing to put soles on them but was well worth it.

I slept fine each and every night till about noon. No ear plugs would have stopped me from waking up from someone entering my tent and waking me up. Megaphones, loud music I am pretty immune to.

Dont wake up sleeping people unless you have a strong legitamate reason. Emergencies, work shifts, prior agreements are definite exceptions.
