Re: Best Time to Arrive

Does anyone know why the wait was so long last year even with a EA? We waited 4 hrs. Saturday last year, but the previous year we flew right in, no wait...

Re: Barbie Death Village

How goes the Cloud Car? - I hope she makes it back. It looked pretty good last year and no 3000 lbs. of Playa dust collecting on her silky skin!

You will be fine... Do try and connect with others coming from Australia, teamwork and sharing works wonders. Water and Shade are your friends, everything else you will figure out, but lot's of water and shade...

Re: One item for BMan 2014 a day

We got out the shade cloth to begin testing a new setup. I'd forgotten we brought half the Playa dust home with us... We got all excited by the smell of the air and blindness in our eyes!

Welcome to Barbie Death Village! Don't let the others here intimidate you, we at BDV will do our best to make you feel pleasantly uncomfortable on the Playa. Join a sub-camp, or build your own. Stop by Camp Cantina Vida!

Re: Bike Porn!

Does anyone have photos, or know how to create and mount animal shapes cut from cardboard to a bike. Like a cow, camel, etc...?

Thanks!

Re: ..AND WE'RE OFF!

The process worked as expected for me... I was in the system 25 seconds after the start and received the offer to purchase 12 minutes later. Purchase went smoothly and confirmation was received moments later. - Good Job BMOrg! (Did I say that out load?)

Re: Barbie Death Village 2012: More Decadence, Less Toleranc

I'm in step with STEP and hopefully the next step will be "one small step for man (Burning that is)...". I do feel like after STEP I'd stepped into something smelly as few to none of the re-ditribution of Overstock.com tickets has occured as BMorg predicted at the onset. Step lively to network, sear...

Re: what time did you receive your STEP confirmation email?

12:17pm But, I don't think this matters much other that the position in the queue. This is due to BMorg's own admission that very few tickets were put into the system at the start, and even fewer are expected long term. This might change as the summer goes on, as Burners tend to be a flakey/free-spi...

Re: STEP has launched... but server crashed immediately

The Ticketing for STEP seemed to be hosted by Amazon Web Services, yes that Amazon... Did you notice the URL theat was in the addrwess of the links sent? No matter, even Amazon is slow at times I guess. Amazon Web Services http://www.amazonaws.com/ Amazon Web Services (AWS) delivers a set of service...

Re: Barbie Death Village 2012: More Decadence, Less Toleranc

Thanks for the update Doc... you leadership is above and beyond. On the bike riding topic, we had a gentleman in the camp bike all day with nothing but a kilt on to protect the family future. He came back sort, raw and seeking the comfort of salve of some sort. Maybe he just needed to toughen up tha...
