Re: Once you park, do you playa-proof your vehicle in any wa

As others have said, filter engineering has improved by leaps and bounds, especially in the OEM. Most modern mini-vans, crossovers, and cars get their air from one of the wheel wells above the splash guard, and in most cases there is even extra ducting in the wheel well to aid in air delivery and ke...

All it takes is a trailer, some basic building supplies, and sauerkraut...I mean, ingenuity. :)

Re: Advanced Gifting: Adopt a BM Virgin (Or Be Adopted)!

Finntroll is (in my little reality) tha bomb. Is anyone else as good? (And please understand that it's not a genre thing with me, I love Finntroll, I love the Klesmatics, and I love good polka music. I don't really go for run of the mill of any of those genres represented.) Hm...maybe your reality ...

Re: Up For Adoption ♥

So excited, so green. Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming. I'm a great camper and have plenty experience sneaking around to the front row at hard rock festivals. But Burning Man is one new exciting adventure for me!! xox Metal Oh, a fellow metalhead to see out there! Maybe I won't be the o...

Re: 4x4 Low Range gearing?

A low range would be well suited for heavier applications that demand the additional torque, or applications that make use of very large tires. It would also be very useful if you plan on using a smaller engine (6 cyl. or even 4 cyl if you intend to use an older import chassis). The idea is to maxim...

Re: Project: Blitter Bike

reminds me of a concert I just went to where they used a large (10'x15') dot matrix as the backdrop, thought it was one of the coolest things I've seen yet. This, by extension and application, is equally as cool. I'll definitely be looking for this out there!

Re: Advanced Gifting: Adopt a BM Virgin (Or Be Adopted)!

All I'm doing is getting these first timers to stop scurrying in all directions and get them scurrying toward some specific goals for their week in the desert. 8) You could start a burner boot camp! 20 push-ups for every time you use the term "guy line" or "generator" in a positive manner! I need t...

approx. 80 feet of clear corrugated medical tubing

bought this for a costume, had to buy it in a 100' bulk pack and there's no way I'll find a use for the other 80 something feet of it. it's about 7/8" in diameter, medical grade, and segmented every 6". Hopefully one of you creative souls could think up a use for it. http://img687.imageshack.us/img6...

You can mark another Burgin down, as I'll be joining in the festivities as well.

I'll see if I can't whip up some pepper infused tequila, possible other boozy goodies as well, if I get creative. 8)

Re: First timer from Arizona

Thanks Savannah, I've signed up for the AZ discussion boards so with any luck I'll be able to connect with some locals! I'm definitely glad I read up in advance for this, my original packing list wasn't even half of the bare essentials. I still don't think I'll be anywhere near prepared, but with so...

First timer from Arizona

Greetings Burning Man community! My Name is Nathan. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and 2012 will be my first year as a burner! I first heard about Burning Man from my ex-fiance's uncle, who attended several years ago and had nothing short of amazing tales. We told ourselves we would go, but as with many...
