Use stucco tape instead of duct tape. It comes off better without leaving a mark. Also remove your shoes before entering every time.

And then realize there is nothing you can do to prevent dust from entering the camper.

I've used the same Springbar tent and stakes for over ten years out there and have never had a problem.
