Re: Getting your shit back together: progress reports
Ygmir, I stumbled upon this poem months ago on the web and your story reminded me of it: I LOVED YOU BEST So this is where we part, my Friend, and you’ll run on, around the bend. Gone from sight, but not from mind, new pleasures there you’ll surely find. I will go on, I’ll find the strength, life me...

Re: Tickets bought in FEBRUARY\MARCH, possible or scam?
I'm sorry to hear about your place burning down!
I'm not sure what you mean by DGS ticket.
Also, tickets were only recently sent out, so I'm not sure how you would have had a physical ticket in March.

Re: Where are the parties?
I observe you are being rude and snarky on ePlaya to a veteran burner. He offered a ride above BRC on ePlaya. Where's your gift? Clue, snark is not a gift. Our gift is wine, meat and cheese. Monday, Wednesday and Friday happy hours at 8:45 and A, please come by! I have also posted this in several p...

Re: Shade Considerations for Solo Camping via Burner Express
I say go with the Galaxy Hut. It sounds like it will be a great way for you to meet your neighbors, gift some shade, and it sounds like the option you're most excited about. We are building one for the first time this year, and it only took us about an hour to put everything together. As far as tran...

Ano! Thank you so much for posting those, they really do help. Also, I love your bikes! On that note, I totally intended to post pictures last night but instead I had a full-blown project freak out and was nearly ready to scrap the granny bike and chop up the bikes to make a trike. This was followed...

I"m afraid I have nothing to contribute to the conversation but I just had to tell you how utterly adorable the doggie in your avatar is. Thank you! That's gustavh, aka Gus. He's a sweetheart :) Trial and error, and tons of it. We set up the bikes inbetween some concrete blocks to stay straight, an...

I'd go with playatech furniture

and couches (a twin mattress fits perfectly on these) http://playatech.com/downloads/desert-daze-bed/

Re: 20" Mongoose Massif for the vertically challenged?
Just for reference, I'm 5'1" and I can ride the beast no problem if the seat is all the way down. We bought 2 and are turning them into a quadricycle :) It is pretty heavy though, so if you're worried about stability it could be a problem. I would def recommend seeing the Massif in person before pur...

thechainrule, I switched my boot laces to the speed laces you posted and I loved them! My hands were never cut by regular laces but they get chapped pretty quickly and it can be quite painful after a few days. I like those bungee laces because you can just switch them back to regular laces when you...

Ano, I'm starting to regret this purchase as well... giantlady, love that trike!! Re: Fat Tire Granny Bike?
Thanks EspressoDude! Ok so we got the bikes and the kit. I'm chugging along putting it together. It turns out that my initial concern will not be a problem, the back piece will just be angled. However, I am scratching my head about something: In all of the pictures I've seen of the kit online, there...

I had my first BM stress-related nightmare of the year. This time I was pregnant and due to have the baby the week before BM started. Still, my plan was to have the baby and somehow make it to the event anyway...? ...what would Freud say? Interestingly enough, these BM stress dreams have pretty much...

Oh sorry! Toms are slip on canvas shoes (http://www.toms.com/women/womens-shoes/slip-ons). I wear em without socks on the playa (and off for that matter). I have never had a problem with playa foot but I understand this may be an issue for some people.

Here's what I do, along with some tips I've learned (...btw, this will make more sense if I start off by saying I'm a girl, gustavh is the pup in my avatar): -Wear loose fitting cotton clothes during the day. My day time staples are: sarongs, jumpers, boy-short style panties, bandeau bras, and somet...

Hey Zerh, I'm planning on catching the BE as well. I haven't had much luck finding a ride share as yet so I'm getting this as a back up. I was checking out Walmart in the area of San Fran and found a cool tricycle that would be comfy on the ol' behind.... But it's a bit pricey for someone who isn't...

Re: Food Camps Past and Present
Our first year we camped with a theme camp that had communal meals. One of the camp members had some sort of issue with salt, so there was NO SALT in ANY of the food. Also, there was NO CHEESE. One afternoon mid-week we wandered over to a friend's camp, where we were graciously provided with quesadi...

Such awesome sawg this year. I hope everyone brings some to the M&G. Joel, as everyone has said, a well prepared virgin is one of the best gifts out there. Fat Tire Granny Bike?
Hello playa bike builders! Has anyone used the granny bike quad kit (http://www.thegrannybike.com/index.html) on fat tire bikes, ie the Mongoose Beast? I'd really like to build a quadricycle this year and I think the granny bike is the easiest way to go, I'm just not sure if it will work with the be...
