The 30-foot requirement has been removed from the camp layout instructions.

12-feet should be wide enough.

Lampighters were not part of directed tickets sales for 2013. If there were ever a "core" group, Lamplighters would be it. This year we are celebrating 20 years on the playa. Lamplighters are the oldest continuous art installation at Burning Man. Every night we take out 100+ volunteers to...

Re: No Plants on the Playa

Shady Asylum goes to extraordinary lengths to keep their sod from drying up and MOOPing the play. It is completely contained within their enclosure, and has never been a problem. If it becomes a problem, the exception will be withdrawn. They have an exemplary record of doing this right. One year the...

Amazing they could go on for ten minutes in that vid and not use the words "customer" or "client". Then you missed it: "client" used not half way through the 10 minutes at 4:05. But I'd suggest they put some effort into defining the difference between the org's own col...

The rules are pretty straightforward - If you're not placed at 2 or 10 you have to follow the 300W/98 DB rule. Period. There IS no "special Permit" to violate this (I see camps try this BS every year, usually before they get shut down or an irate neighbor goes ninja on their cables)... it...
