I'm re-reading "Neuromancer", by William Gibson.
I had forgotten this book entirely. And it's amazing just how flippin' influential (and downright lifted from) this book was/is.

Excellent unauthorized 3CD set, a recreation of the '87-'88 tour, from soundboard sources. Recommended!

Re: Main Sale Ticket delivery?
Can anyone share whether the tickets are being sent through the postal service or through UPS? UPS's "Mail Innovations" service is a combination of the two. From my understanding (and their website), UPS picks up the mail/packages, sends it to UPS processing centers around the country, and then han...

Re: Main Sale Ticket delivery?
No. No e-mails, no confirmation, and even though they said the packages would be signature required, they're not. They are just dropping them in your mailbox or doorstep. Once the porch pirates get wind of this, tickets are going to start disappearing. What an utterly mismanaged shit show. Customer...

Check out this account : I was working at noon, and had pretty much figured... Thanks for trying! We'll see how the next few days play out, I suppose...if indeed some (for lack of a better term) 'grey area' sales that managed to process, I wonder if the BMorg would really invalidate those tickets. ...

LOL - and they want to add 20000 more to this scenario?! Might want to get a grip on the current situation before expanding even further, IMHO My thoughts exactly...not a fan of BMorg's increased population plan, personally, but that's a whole separate thread. I logged in at 12:01pm and wait...

One of my favorite things to do at BM is to get up early in the morning and head out on my bike by myself. There! I'm 100% alone. I have met some of the most amazing people along the way. I've made lifelong friends. I've met many of them for dinners and drinks when they come to my home town. In sho...

I thought of Travel Johnny too. I carry one in my pack and my car when traveling. Indeed, I cannot recommend these enough to carry with you juuuuuuust in case. Unused, they're very compact and are pretty durable while stored in a pack. Used, they do a very good job in absorbing and containing urine...

If you're staying at/near the airport (as I do), Crawfish Asian Cuisine (Plumb Lane, near 395) was seriously good. Even as someone who is as picky as I am about my seafood (and Chinese food, for that matter), this place has impressed me every time I've gone.

Here is another eBay box of ten bearings (5 bikes). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sunlite-Bearing-Sunlt-Bb-66-10X5-16-1Pc-Bxof10-/153029649283?hash=item23a1472383 These are called #66 bearings. #64 will also work, but are technically only for vintage Schwinn and a few other relics. Thanks for the bearin...

My new Cranbrook seized up (pre-Playa BB treatment slipped my mind) but I was able to keep it going with some cleaning/grease. But at least one is obviously damaged (there's actually a strip of metal poking out of the gap on the left side) so my next project will be replacement. Thank you for all th...

Some neat ideas, glad it worked out for you. Seems like you did quite well on the work / play ratio! 70,000 divided by 5000 = 14.
So one out of every 14 people left a bike on the playa...........GREAT!!!
It would not surprise me to see bicycle permits become a reality.
