Re: Bikes!!!
Wondermuss! Your bicycle would have three or four possible uses: 1. Loaner next year. 2. Gifted to a burner whose own bicycle is beyond repair. 3. Gifted locally here in Clearlake -- a very poor community. 4. Parted out to repair other bicycles, and perhaps some of the parts would be used for a lar...

Re: Coconut water electrolyte hydration
I love coconut water for hydration and electrolytes. I usually get the Zico brand from Trader Joe's. They have different flavors, too. My favorite is Mango. :D As for the health benefits, here's what Zico's website has to say: "ZICO contains the five electrolytes that support your body with what it ...

Re: Bikes!!!
My bike plan is to just grab a cheap one from Walmart and then donate it afterwards. I think you can buy a cheap one for $60 bucks or so and then clean it up a bit and pass it off to a kid who doesn't have a bike. Yes, probably not much over $60,-. A couple of years ago someone gave me a Walmart "R...

Re: Bike Shorts, Body Image, Thigh Chafe, and Self-Acceptanc
Does it work on the nips too, or just the nether regions? I'm an awful runner, but for some reason, run about 12k 2 times per week. Tokyo is brutally humid this time of year at between 60-70%, with temperatures in the 90's. Basically the worst running conditions you could think of, bar wild animals...

Re: Bike Shorts, Body Image, Thigh Chafe, and Self-Acceptanc
I'm 6'3", 230lbs with some big thighs. I can tell you I would have been immobilized last year by day 4 or 5 if I didnt have moisturizer for my ass/thighs. We bought big bottles but somehow they got lost, so I had nothing for ~5 days until I was so desperate I asked around the rest of our camp and t...

Re: Don't Hate on Me for My RV
I'm taking a small RV, also. From what I've learned here on the forum, bringing an RV, itself, isn't horrendous, but it might hinder your experience if you stay cooped up in it. I am planning on just using mine for sleeping and building a shade structure to hang out in for the rest of the time to be...

Re: Playa Boutique locations and accepting donations?
Your contributions will surely be welcome at the myriad of costuming camps! Don't worry about size, Burning Man is all sizes and your donated size fits all! Expert sewers, hand or machine, might check to see if the camps need repairers and alterers and are set up for you to contribute with their ow...

Re: Playa Boutique locations and accepting donations?
I know from experience that they can't be too 'size specific''. Men's pants that don't stretch won't be as desirable as something that is big that you can wear with a belt (or not). It has to be easy to figure out and can't have a bunch of unattached parts. Every style and color, black or white. Ju...

Hello! My name is Natalia, and this is my first year to experience Burning Man and I am so grateful and excited to be a part of it! Re: Playa Boutique locations and accepting donations?
I work in the entertainment industry and haves TONS of unworn/gently used outfits, costumes, accessories, etc. I have extra room in my vehicle, so I plan to bring out a bunch of things to donate to costume camps. Any guidelines about what is/is not acceptable for donations? I know that I shouldn't p...
