Stop growing the darn thing and make it sustainable.

You got Fly Ranch to dream up, do your stick there. Let BM return back to BM.

Wow! Eric that’s a lot of fluid. Glad to hear that you’re doing better. Was that a Peracentisis, thoracentisis, or a chest tube?
Peracentisis in Feb (500ml), the one two weeks ago was thoracentisis. Plus 30lbs of fluid weight from my legs since Jan, mostly through diuretics. Yay for haywire livers!

The Org hasn't made any announcements about dates yet, the only way to know is to keep checking the Ticketing page and watch for it. You'll also see some threads on it become very active here. Sadly that's the best information anyone will have right now. One big thing to remember: STEP is winning th...

Re: The basic problem with modern BRC

If we really want to bring BRC back to its roots, take it off playa. Now, you want to shatter the event, get rid of the Big Burn in Nevada & create a bunch of smaller Burns all over? You mean those insignificant Regional Burns that still have the Burny magic that the Playa has lost? Or.....(tapping...

Last time I felt that much joy was just two weeks ago on April 9, when the hospital drained 750ml of fluid from around my right lung & I could breath normally for the first time in 6+ months. The first deep breath was like heaven.

Re: House music on the playa...

I'll just give you a very honest heads-up: the running joke is that everyone on the playa is a DJ of some sort, and it's reached "running joke" status because you will never meet more DJs concentrated in one place. There are multiple threads on ePlaya about possible ways to get to spin, but posting ...

Too bad we can't help him get tickets. Or placement. Or a 'grant'. But we can tell him where to go. You want to get help laying out a camp/ disposing of grey-water/ building a structure, art piece...

Hey paper - this eplaya board has nothing to do with the burning man organization. Nada. Incorrect - we are under the Burning Man Communications Department. 100% part of Burning Man, which is why topics you'll see on reddit or facebook may be off-limits here. If we really want to bring BRC back to its roots, take it off playa. You do realize that would be taking it back to SF , right? SF is its roots. It was founded by people from SF, it was nurtured by people from SF, the formative years were freaks & what we now call techies from the SF Bay area. You'...

For instance, what if your card was charged, but no confirmation email sent? What is the basic path and steps for that one, just for example. That one is easy - you would contact Ticketing. They will be able to sort it out for you. One extremely important thing to remember - all advise on the inter...

Re: The basic problem with modern BRC

So there is no confusion or ambiguity, the remote, off the grid location of the Black Rock Desert makes this area absolutely ideal for police to train on the use of their Stingray monitoring devices. Note: Sham knows his phones. This is not hyperbole or a conspiracy theory. BRC is where LEO tests t...

I'm all the way in SF and the air is so bad here my eyes are stinging and my throat is raw. I can only imagine how insufferably bad it is for people closer to the fire to be inhaling all these toxins - let alone the horrible losses. I have multiple friends who's families have lost everything in the ...

Re: 2018 Arrivial / Traffic

I love the RJG's hyperbole: allowed the event to swell past its population limit then, a few lines later: As of Friday, the population at the Black Rock Desert event had risen to 70, 358 I don't think less than 500 people is what is implied by "swell past". This is within the range that's happened b...

Re: campsite needed

There will still be spots on the back streets - no need to join a camp, just find an open spot, check with the neighbors to make sure it's actually free, and set up your camp. Being a solo camper & meeting the neighbors is a really good way to end up with new life-long friends.

Do not post links for items unless they are in response to a question (asked by someone else) and it's specifically playa related. That press release basically confirms that they are willing participants in this.
That's what I get out of it as well. Sadly the actions of the Tribal Gov't are going to burn the average tribal member by loss of revenue, even if they're opposed to this action.
