Update from 2003: I'm still snarky, still sarcastic and still cynical and people still say I'm funny.

Damn you Badger for making me look/post.

Okay. So. Maybe I just don't feel like hauling 5 tons over Donner Pass again. Eh? Maybe 4 tons is okay. We'll see. And Mr. Foo. We at Playa Air recognize that you are a valued customer and apologize for any future shoddy service or inconvenience you may receive on our airline. As an expression of ou...

Oh. And Capt. Boy Thing. It's not the power of your mighty lifting thing that I'm questioning. It's the fricken frame of the truck's ability to stay uncrooked. Less weight, less torque. Pardon me if I'm ruperting the factiods with my intuitiveness. 2.5 times that.

But 600 pounds of plaster is okay in the boy thing book? I'm still miffed you wouldn't let me go at it a bit more with the cutting torch. Think liposuction would help with that water retention look?

What holes? And I told you to stop calling me that.

We finished plastering the wings on the Playa.

Hey Plumbean, I forgot to ask, that big ass propane tank we mount for the flamethrower? Can it be attached to the base so we aren't lifting it everytime we go up? Flexible hoses? Safety third?

She said, "mount".

We had two newbies with us this year. On their first day out there a woman and her boyfriend stopped their bicycles and got off to take a picture within our camp. She was wearing a very sheer top and posed for her boyfriend behind the camera. The two newbies actually stood and ran over with their ca...

Maybe she's just not in the right Burning Man spirit. I was a bit bemused to come upon this, "Poke it with a Stick" pranksterdom when I first hit Burning Man. I turned it into my own schtick with being the rude stewardess on Playa Air. It slays me to no end to hear people's reaction as I give them t...

When I was young my father took me through burnt up houses; he was a volunteer fireman. I have vivid memories of Dali like clocks still hanging from the wall, melted telephones, acrid smells of things not meant to burn. I've lived near all my life in Southern California and am attuned to Fire Season...

Well. I did get the "Bad Lay" name tag at the eplaya meet and greet, so there you go.

I'd heard another formula like this for your Soap Opera name but I forget what it was. I think it fell out of favor due to one of the names being your mother's maiden name or some such.

I miss the fine sarcastic word play of the playa of olde. Where people understood sarcasm when they saw it and played with it accordingly. I miss the wordsmiths and twisted sarcasm. I miss knowing I was among sarcastic people who used their gifts for good. Truly I do. p.s. You did the right thing by...

I'm very happy to put away my guilt over not having gone into Center Camp at all for two straight years. Thank you. I did feel a twinge on realizing I'd missed out on seeing Mark Finley's work but oh well.

The lights and flags are nice for figuring out where you are after the man burns, though.

And here I was thinking all this time what a fine example of potty humor it was. It certainly looked like a pun within a pun to me.
