Re: Merhaba from Istanbul, Turkey
Selam! I'm so glad I wandered back in and saw your post - my husband and I are heading to Istanbul next month for a week! We've got a fairly full schedule of the usual sites (my husband's a history fiend, and jokes that we'll be spending half of our visit in Constantinople), and are doing a trip to ...

I reached out to Bin's brother, who broke the news on the bookfaces, about including him on next year's Remembrance Plaque (the last call for this year was July 20). After checking with Bin's son, he gave his approval, saying this in part: I know Jonathan would be honored (though he would never adm...

No bike is considered lost until the event is over. Starting Monday (through Wednesday Post-Event), lost bikes can possibly be recovered at the Yellow Bike Camp. After Wednesday, unclaimed bikes are donated to Reno-based nonprofits that fix them up and provide them to underprivileged kids. Your bik...

Starting to see reports that Don Pardo has died at the age of 96.
I wonder what lovely parting gifts he'll take with him.

Some camps will not accept photo copied cards, as they are not legal id. Our camp doesn't for that same reason. Last week i went to the department of transportation and got an address change. Got my new photo id yesterday. So now the old one gets hole punched and put on a string around my neck on p...

I just got two knock-offs from eBay for $14 - and it was shipped domestically, too, so I didn't have to panic over whether or not they'd arrive in time. Hopefully they stand up to the event. (I've got bandanas and at least one R95 mask kicking around in the rest of my gear if they don't.)

The latest from earlier this evening: Great news! I visited my trailer this morning to take stock, opened a cupboard…and there were my Clive Barker drawings, safe and overlooked.
