Re: Easy sewing for playa wears for the everyday fat girl
Just putting this out there- mens brief underwear work great to prevent chafe. They do come in extra long too- on of my girlfriends chafes all the way down to her knees at BM.

Thwarted by pregnancy
We had it all planned. After a couple years off I was finally going to return home. And my Virgin husband-to-be was going to experience his first burn. After 2 years of trying for baby with no success we'd pretty much given up. We were even joking around that at least we don't have to worry about pr...

Re: The Individual Sale has started!
Signed in at 12:00:34- the connection was lost 4 times-each time I manually refreshed my page but did not have to re-enter my passcode. 1 hour and 39 minutes later we went through the payment page in a jiffy-no issues. I seriously missed the queue countdown from past years-this time around was nerve...

drop all expectations at the door. the playa is a funny place...and will remain a funny place... Sounds like you had a rough time of it, that part sucks, but stamping your feet and name callin aint gonna fix your burn, that really was up to YOU! plans go array...I prefer guidelines... I so agree! I...

We were all surprised to get a great close up spot for the man burn, despite leaving camp 2 hours later than planned. The year before we got there by sunset, and ended up way farther away.

Re: AMBER Alert abuse
So I have a somewhat different perspective . . . I lay most of the blame on the parents or guardians of the teenager. If you take a teenager up to Burning Man you damn well better have some idea how they are going to act and react to the events at B'Man. You damn well better trust their judgement, ...

Re: 2012 confessions - CLEANSE YOURSELF
A fellow from a neighboring camp and I had a mini connection for the first 2 days, but my feelings quickly disintegrated as soon as he started talking about spending the week together. Once the event actually started and I barely saw him after Monday although he came looking a few times. Sometimes i...

Re: Taggers/playa justice
I would have no problem whipping someones ass who tagged my rental truck... or finding someone to whip it for me  Good point. We were all thinking we should have made him scrub it off himself. Although I have a strong aversion to violence, I do hope that person learned how fucking s...

Taggers/playa justice
On Wednesday night some of our camp members caught a guy spray painting people's trucks (the rented ones  ) and I witnessed my first example of "playa justice." It was definitely not a pleasant scene, lots of shouting, pushing, some punches thrown... now that I'm back I have mixed feelings ...

Hi Lumin! maybe you will meet some people from a theme camp on here to join up with. I went solo this year and being part of a camp really helped, kind of like instant friends plus you get the benefit of being with and learning from experienced burners.

Re: 2012 Experiences with Police
The only direct experience I had with law enforcement was when I was rifling through my backpack at Opulent Temple changing our my water bottles and cop had a flashlight pointed directly on me. Since I wasn't doing anything illegal nothing came of it. That and we saw the massive amounts of people g...

Re: Quiet at the Temple burn?
Freebird was annoying to me, because I can't stand that particular song. I don't enjoy listening to it at any point in time, so in that sense I would have preferred for it not to play. Did it ruin my experience? No. However the nasty altercation that followed (the clash between people who wanted the...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
Hi, Good Sarah here. I was staying up too late reading posts on eplaya, so I figured it's time to make a profile. I'm a former Boob (RIP) and camped with Gallavant this year- hope everyone had a great burn and yes, we are already making lists for next year!
