Maybe it was meant to be Alex Grey, who is camping at Entheon Village this year at 4:00 and Esplanade. He's a kickass psychedelic artist and a gallery of his work will be constructed on the open Playa just out in front of the camp. As far as I know he is not anti-semitic.

Gift Furniture Offered for Theme Camp - LA

Hi, I have a black leather sofa and chair, in great condition that I have to get rid of because I'm moving. I'd love to gift them to a theme camp. If you are interested and can arrange to pick them up in downtown LA next weekend (Nov. 17-21) please let me know. If you would like them, this is a grea...

The question of the day is, why did you wait 'til you got to the Travelodge? The Playa is a great spot for self gratification. Hell, why not do it two of three times per day for that matter, find an outstanding piece of art from which to cast your mighty seed to the desert wind. Take care of the one...

Our sex is always better at Burning Man somehow. ... Hee hee, ours too … it just might have something to do with gorgeous, fit people strolling around with complete sexual freedom to be the beautiful sexual creatures that Mother Nature intended them to be. BM can tell you a lot about your relations...

10-4 agreed. This was my 4th. Last year I brought my girl for her 1st and it was strange. I ended up feeling like I had to say … “no really … it really is amazing, you’ll see!!!” This year I didn’t have to say anything. She saw for herself, and was blown away. It’s a shame this year wasn’t her first...

Isotopia, you Godly being! Why does one post these experiences on the Playa? Maybe to get a bad feeling off their chest? Maybe because they are looking for a reason, some insight, someone to make them feel better? You gave just that. You helped take the edge off of a perception that was jaded by the...

Well, it's always interesting to read what is said in reply. Above all, it is always a good thing to refrain from making assumptions, but there are always people who love to jump into forums head first and throw on a little fire. Allow me to provide some clarifications. On the subject of tying down ...

A Rotten, Stinking Burning Man Experience

A rotten thing happened to us on the way out of BRC at about 6:30 PM on Sunday. Just down the road from BRC, a large container of all our personal care items came loose from our trailer and flew back, scattering all over the road. We pulled over and jumped out and ran back to gather up our things. A...

Good Nasal Health Suggestion - Not for Naturopaths!

If you are like me, the inside of your nose and nasal passages get dry and painful on the Playa. This worked great last year. Purchase a tube of Carmex from your local drugstore. Not the stick, the tube, it's a medicated, mentholated vasaline. Once or twice a day, when my nose gets really dry, and w...

Body Art Questions

I'm looking for a good body art makeup/ink. Something good for face painting that is good quality, doesn't smudge too much, but can wash off. Can anyone educate me on this stuff? Where to go, what types to buy. Also, at last years burn I saw a guy with some black tatoo type art on him, and he said s...

Tribal-Psi-Trance Help Needed!

Hey y’all: A while back some folks tossed around a list of psi-trance acts. I pursued a lot of them with mixed results. The greatest suggestion: Shpongle! Damn … this blew me away. I also liked Hallucinogen a bit and Medicine Drum quite a lot. Mutaytor is also one of my Burner favorites. Unfortunate...

Generator Question - Specifically Honda EU1000i

I'm thinking about buying a EU1000i Generator for BM2005. Anyone have any experience with it. I went to demo it today and it was quiet as a whisper. Please, no comments about how noisy generators are. I know that, that's why I'm looking at this one.

Thanks,

Joe

Statements From The Fallen Hero

I read through this entire thread, read some good words of wisdom and learned a lot about Burning Man. My first year was 2002. I thought I could offer something worthy to this thread. First, before responding I think it is a good study to assess the psychological aspects of Burnt Outs post. What ...

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' by the Flaming Lips. A friend dropped by with the CD after BM02 and said, you have to hear this ... it is somehow so Burning Man. I listened and understood right away. The song is an amazing array of technology, creativity and chaos, yet strangely intriguing and ple...

Can you help me find this Burner?

I met someone at BM2002 I would like to visit again if possible. I was wandering back from the playa after the burn probably not too far from centre camp and I stumbled across a theme camp with a large white rectangular tent and many couches inside. There were two (4 square) pyramids out in the f...

Advice on Mutant Vehicles

I'm considering building a mutant vehicle for 2005, and am not sure what base craft to use. I'm looking for something I can tow in on a trailer as I have no room at home to build a full size vehicle. Anyone have any experience with ATVs and how well they adapt to mutaytion?

Thanks,
