Re: Camp sign: bulb types, power, and charging?
1. The bulbs that are featured look great, but are typically high-wattage bulbs. Clearly LEDs are the way to go for power savings, but I'm having difficulty finding LEDs that have the same classy bulb style. Any leads on where I could find something similar that is still low power? Those probably a...

Or a fire horn:Shoeshine wrote:@ the Sheik... now that's an idea... 3 short blasts if I need the bridge raised, (i.e. getting through a sound camp) now I just need to incorporate an air horn.

No problem being seen when I'm carrying that around!

Re: 2015 one item a day for BM list..
Add to that four bike horns, the kind that go HONK. It's going to be a fire organ. You. You sound like you throw the sort of party I like. Ain't no party like a fire party cuz a fire party goes FWOOMP! I don't think we've heard about placement for the project yet, but we'll probably be in inner play...

Welcome Southern Ontarians! Be sure to check out BurnT, the Toronto regional group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/94278462150/ . The decomp was just postponed due to venue issues but a couple of events have popped up in its place that look to be good times. There's also a drinks night every week, ...

Re: LED Strips into blinkers?
If your electronics skills aren't up to building something with a 555 timer chip and a transistor or relay to drive the LEDs, I'd suggest going to a car parts store and asking there. Electronics are my thing, not cars, but I think you'd be safe with any "LED-compatible" flasher module. And it will b...

Re: hello from a lurker!
I'm already loving the parties and work days. So many good people. I've been amazed and inspired by some of the stuff people here are building just for their shelter - fully outfitted hexayurts, trucks, trailers, etc. I'll probaby be sleeping in a 2-person 4-season tent, but I will be putting a smal...

hello from a lurker!
Hi Eplaya, I've been lurking here for a while, reading and resarching How To Burn, and I thought I should introduce myself. I'm trjw (sorry, not very creative in that department). I live in Hamilton, ON (near Toronto). Some of my friends are burners and one of them has been trying to convince me to ...
