If Gizmo is still taking song requests, just about anything from Yoko Ono's (blessedly short) solo career would be large-caliber ammo for your acoustic guns.

Re: challenging "the Temple"
The temple has become an institution. Another predictable piece of the BM business model. It's pure garbage. A vestibule of some sort of spiritual morality so many cling to as a means to ground themselves into reality. Rules of conduct, crews of "temple guardians" telling the initiates wh...

Re: Dome fabric question
Doc: I might have to research this. I already have the heatgun.
The one-time-use aspect is bothersome, but perhaps for the first year on the small dome it might be interesting to try!
Thanks!

Thanks!

I spent 25 years writing code for a living. The guy who "forgot" to provide a real after-POST confirmation screen (aka "congrats, Sam! You have been pre-registered as follows (list of data entered here)" should be taken to the cybernetic woodshed and shot. Next: Why does the Burn...

Re: How to spot undercover cops?
I'm still laughing at the mental image of putting a donut on the end of a fishing line and casting it out into the foot traffic. Anything that chased it... well.... yeah. It would certainly be a good way to catch an undercover mod . . . provided the donut is on a saucer. Heheheh. Or maybe...

Sage words, all. As for me? I anticipate heat, cold, dust, wind, smelly potties and watching Eric trolling the ravers. I anticipate building infrastructure, exhausting myself, getting re-exhausted, cranky, and being nursed back to health at Ground Zero by SunBeam. I anticipate meeting a bunch of tot...

Thanks for the praise. :) This is turning into a genuinely fun project. Skinning the dome will be interesting. I built a pulsejet years ago. LOUD. And with a rich mixture shoot gouts of flame. Sounds like a perfect mix for Burning Man.
The only moving part was the reed valve. Had to be replaced about every 30 minutes. Fussy. But what a wonderful noise!
