Re: American breakdown front line reports from cities

God (or whomever you worship) put our eyes on the front of our face for a reason. To look forward, not on the backs of our heads to look back. What is done is history. Only we can choose our future.

Re: American breakdown front line reports from cities

Black workers have lost $113 billion in potential wages over the past two decades because they couldn't get a college degree. The housing market lost $218 billion in sales because Black applicants couldn't get home loans. About $13 trillion in business revenue never flowed into the economy because ...

Re: NEW Camp! IPOW: Indigenous People Of the World

And, as reported in a quote from the late American Indian activist and actor Russell Means, isn't every person born in the Western Hemisphere a "native American"? He wanted a return to the term "American Indian" for members of the tribes. The US Department of the Interior was the office that created...

I noticed that was a 48 star US flag in the backdrop of some scenes. Using a 1959 vintage background makes me somewhat doubt the veracity of the message.

Re: How would you organize a regional burn if part of the land had to be open to the public during the daytime?

If it is a public park, how could you legally prevent "Joe Citizen" without a wristband from wandering through your camps and art areas without some type of closure permit or order (similar to the playa) for those portions of the park. To me that exudes an air of exclusivity that is contrary to seve...

Re: Pop up shade tent and gone with the wind

I recommend two dome tents. A small one for all your gear and a larger one to sleep in. Leave your car doors closed and windows rolled up. Every time you open the door, a surprising amount of dust will blow in, magnifying the clean up problem when you get home. Have some large trash bags to bag up y...

Re: So who is still going?

I have a feeling that the Black Rock Desert will become a magnet for people toward mecca for generations to come. This year however, I fully expect that there will be police blocking the roads for people attempting to camp on the site where Burning Man is held. So, for how many years will BLM conti...

Re: Everything lost is gone forever

Not to forecast doom and gloom, but realistically if we don't burn in 2021, I'm afraid that will be the end of the scheduled event. The BMOrg will have burned though all their financial reserves, and just won't be able to carry on. It will be very hard to reconstruct the infrastructure, reset servic...

Re: Burning Man Dating Service

The idea of a burner dating app sounds kind of boring and monotonous. A much better idea is to download a regular dating app and put in an obscure TTITD reference that only the most crusty of burners will appreciate. Something like "Enjoys midnight walks along the trash fence, holding hands, while ...

I get my beef from a local farm here in south central KS. They have plenty, any cut you want. They sell entire cut up and wrapped half sides of grass-fed open range beef for $1400 and offer many smaller packages. Free front porch delivery in my area. Now it's a different story in southwest Kansas wh...

Re: Keeping cool in a tent - tips?

Most of the time, keeping cool while you sleep after dark won't be a problem-it gets cold on the playa at night. But, once the sun comes up, it warms up fast. That's when it is time to wake up, find a patch of shade outside, and get hydrated and nutritated for the next day's shenanigans.

I'm not a Trump apologist, but I expect some fact checking. Trump never said to ingest or inject bleach, Lysol, Ty-D-Bowl or anything else. He was watching a scientific demonstration on using UV light via fiber optic into a vein, As the blood was exposed to this specific frequency of UV light, it wo...

Re: In the event of cancellation...

For the BORG to put the tickets on sale one day (which will sell out in minutes) and in the next day or so announce the event will not be held and (sorry, suckers!) there will be no refunds, sounds like out-and-out fraud. It would be done that way to raise enough for operating funds until next year,...
