Re: Main Sale Ticket Success?!
I got 522 Could Not Connect errors for about two minutes and then finally got the spinner. Sadly, my brother just got dumped with a 502 error after 20 minutes of watching the spinner. Looks like the new vendor has introduced our old ticket day frustrations.

Re: Box truck shade structure ideas
I tried something similar with PVC mounted on 2x4's and it wasn't wind that an issue as much as the weight of the tarp (I actually used shade cloth to reduce wind load). Cinching the tarps down pushed the tarp stand offs (the buckets for your design) toward the middle of the truck. I think your plan...

Thanks, that's what I'm interested in knowing, which company will be providing advanced life support services.MyDearFriend wrote:I heard that an RFP went out for medical services, but that CrowdRX will probably get the contract again.

Does anyone know who is going to provide advanced life support services this year? CrowdRx has no mention of BM their page anymore. Thanks.

Custom Camp Flag
For those of you with custom camp flags, where did you get yours? I couldn't find any mention of custom camp flags in ePlaya. A G---le search yielded a few possibilities but a known source would be preferred. PM would be great to avoid any decommodification indiscretions. Thanks.

Re: Box truck shade structure ideas
I built a shade structure last year for a similar sized truck as the OP's. My shade was anything but airplane portable though. I used fence rail to build a 'box' around the truck and planned to cover the top, front and one side with shade cloth (I was worried about the wind load on 30' long tarps; d...

Re: RV Shade Structure
I'm building a shade structure for my box truck 'camper' this year. Unlike an RV, there is nothing but aluminum skin and it gets really hot inside once the sun comes up. I'm building my 10' x 30' x 11' structure with fence top rail and shade cloth to mitigate wind load. The top and the south side wi...

Re: BM Transport - Buying a truck?
So, my friends and I had an idea: A few of us have pretty darn good credit - and we could BUY a USED cargo van or a small box truck with an auto loan. If we buy it in the next three weeks, we should be able to get it "permanently" plated and insured by the time the playa opens. Anyone have any expe...

And yes, I did see the date on the video. The hook in the drill is a good idea and I will use if I ha...

A medium duty tarp might be OK until, well, it isn't. I bought a super heavy duty from tarpsupply.com for my monkey hut when I built it last year. I didn't want to take the chance that my tarp would shred in high winds.

Last year we built a 6’ stretch yurt (BFD mod), and didn’t heed the advice to protect the bifi tape. With 2014 rolling in, we're at the stage of re-taping the hinges. We didn’t remove last year’s tape and most of it has deteriorated and lost its adhesion. When we pull the old tape off, the adhesive ...

I built a 14' x 24' MH last year using 24' ribs to 'garage' a Ford E250 van. The van is ~7' tall and easily fit inside. Remember, MH ribs don't form a perfect circle, they kind of flatten at the top. You may be able to get away with 24' ribs with the ends 15' apart. I needed an overall height greate...
