Re: Yet another MV idea
No worries. It's great to hear from someone that's done this before. Some random thoughts based your posts- axle placement- Agreed- It would need to be mounted pretty far back on the a-frame (ie. under the deck) or the a-frame would need to be modified to make trailering possible, and the wheels wou...

Re: Yet another MV idea
Wow! Lots of food for thought here. The ePlaya provides. Thanks so much for all the feedback. Ygmir and Capt Goddamit - great info about the MV innards, particularly steering, brakes and drivetrain. Nice to hear it could be possible to have a side-mounted motor with a conventional drivetrain. Defini...

The basic idea is a ferry boat with two decks. The lower one would be a bar/lounge area and the upper ...

Re: Greetings from Central Texas
Thanks y'all. tamarakay- I'm in Austin. Really like you're neck of the woods though. I signed up for the Flipside mailing lists and attended the Makers & Muses event yesterday. It was nice to meet and connect with some people the community.

Greetings from Central Texas
I love the Burning Man idea and would like to connect with burners around here and participate in the local regional burn (Flipside). I always thought of BM as a music festival like ACL or Jazzfest until my kids and I 'discovered' it on youtube. The little guys love watching anything mechanical- tru...
