Weekly update: A veritable flurry of donations has arrived in the last week! THANK YOU! I need to take an exact tally, but this would be a good time to.... Well, we may run out of the Top Tier Perk Bikes after all. Regardless, we are now DEFINITELY doing Burning Man without serious financial restra...

Hi Cryoguy! Welcome to ePlaya! We are going to be volunteering, not sure where just yet, any suggestions? I hear Arctica is a great choice for first year volunteering. Hi Astrid! Welcome to ePlaya! I'm an Aussie who went to BM a few years ago and now I live in the US so I can be closer to the playa year round ;) Have you made it to any of the Australia regionals? I hope to come back to go to Burning Seed at some point. I hope to see you at the Aussie meet up Stray...

Hello Ms Kirbs! My friend Lau and I run a Facebook group for Australians headed to the burn each year, you can find this year's here; Aussies on the Playa 2017 . If you join up you'll get to see the last couple of weeks of chatter before this year's burn and we'll post the link to next year's group ...

I'll be camped super close by (4:10 & F) so there's a very good chance I'll stop by! Quite possibly with weird sparkly purple liquor and/or Australian snacks. I haven't been around here much in the last year or so but in years past the ePlaya Meet & Greets have been a highlight for me so I look forw...

Most terms can be found at https://burningman.org/culture/glossary/ a FUN read :D Oh cool! I hadn't seen this glossary on the main site before. One of the first things I did after I decided to go to my first burn was read a participant created BM glossary. It was a super useful and informative star...

I just shared that Flickr album on a FB post asking about the car and got a reply from a lady who worked on the build. She said the French dude didn't build the car, a guy from LA called David Shields did. It seems like Laurent was somehow tangentially involved but is taking credit when he really sh...

Honestly, I had to google it. https://www.shethinx.com/pages/it-works I have a bunch of those but I much prefer this Australian brand . Their fabric is softer and I don't like the lace on th...

It really sounds like you would be better off without a camp. The reasons for preferring solo travel are magnified at the burn, meeting people is just as easy in open camping/at events/etc as it is in a camp and if you're bringing everything you need all a camp can supply you with is the potential f...

The Direct Group Sale tickets cost the same amount as General Sale tickets.
Also the extra cost of the Pre-Sale tickets covers the Low Income discount whereas the extra from the Da Vinci ticket goes to art.

It's Pabst* Blue Ribbon, a type of beer. It's quite popular on playa because it is quiet watery and thus refreshing and easy to drink a lot of. It's also pretty cheap. I think it is what is sometimes called a "session beer" Also worth noting since you're a pom; they drink it cold here. Ice cold. *I ...
