Just out of curiosity is there a camp that collects no dues or fees?
If so are there any spots available?

Re: Riding with a driver who doesn't have a ticket to get in
Even if I wanted to take the Burner Express, at this point they're sold out. I'm getting a free bike out of the deal from the driver. The only thing that works to my advantage is I currently have no camp affiliation (unlike the other passengers) I just want to know what to expect and how to best pre...

Free camping
While starting a post in another thread, I looked to see where the couchsurfers were camping. After finding their website, I discovered they were looking to collect a fee of $800 per person. With that said, what are my options on the playa if I'm not looking to pay anything to set up my tent?

Riding with a driver who doesn't have a ticket to get in
Between my luggage, bike, and water, I foresee some issues getting my belongings between the point where the driver can't continue, and where I plan on camping (was looking forward to camping with the CouchBurners until I saw they were charging a $800 fee). There are two other passengers/virgin burn...

Safety Goggles versus Ski Goggles
I was browsing craigslist looking for goggles. One dude was selling his ski goggles for $10. Before he texted me this morning I bought safety goggles from the 99 cent store. Should I still buy the ski goggles?

Re: Need a bike that's nearly free
read up in the literature about the "yellow/green bikes", they are out there for everyone to use. Welcome! Can you link me to the literature you're referring to? (I'll attempt a search myself momentarily) Spent the last hour looking into a backup plan of buying a fold up bike small enough to be con...

Need a bike that's nearly free
After buying my ticket this afternoon, the seller strongly advised me that I needed a bike. After doing some research I came across this link http://www.burningman.com/preparation/travel_info/reno/reno_Bikes.html#.UfyDTpcpDvF Being that this will be my first burn, I'm making every attempt to not to f...
