Re: ePlaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
Pleasure meeting those of you I did in the 45 minutes that I stopped by! It seemed to be kicking into high gear as I left, but I had a date with s'mores and my campmate. Next year, I will bring more booze & food and stay longer.

Stopped Traffic on 447!
We have been sitting in stopped traffic for nearly two hours. We didn't move at all for an hour and then we went about a mile. Now, stopped again for 30 minutes now. Anyone with a clue what is going on?

Re: De-branding question!
Glad to hear I won't be ruffling any feathers by leaving them on. Fun fact: sulfites are naturally occurring in wine. It's a by-product of the yeasts metabolism during fermentation. Though wine naturally contains less sulfites than dried fruit. So unless you have problems eating dried fruit, you sho...

De-branding question!
Thinking about what I have to contribute to the community-- I have decided on holding a wine tasting event for whomever stumbles by when I decide to do it. Wine is a passion of mine, so I think it would be fun to pour some delicious wines and talk about about why they taste like they do and where th...

Well, I just bought 14 bottles of wine, which I knew was totally excessive, but hey- it's only your first burn once!

Based on the list I think I may bring some juices and maybe some gingerale. Love me some whiskey gingers! As it looks like a lot of people will be bringing wine already and it appears that as was being discussed above there is a shortage of mixers.

Re: ePlaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
Meeting strangers from the internet has always been a past time of mine. I'll be sure to roll around on the ground for a bit before I come shake everyone's hand then. Everyone likes a dirty girl! Hi Kylie, glad you could make it. The M & G is a most civilized party. I think of it like the 3rd...

Re: Bike Porn!
Wow, well I am really glad I posted a picture of my bike! I bought it from burners for 40 bucks at a garage sale. Now, I will be a bit more prepared in case I need some bike maintenance on the playa. I obviously do not know much about bikes. When something happens to my commuter bike I am so helples...

Re: ePlaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
Hi everyone. My name is Kylie-Ayn and I would really love to join in these shenanigans. Meeting strangers from the internet has always been a past time of mine. I don't know that I can contribute much in the way of food, but booze is an easy one for me. I work in wine, so I am the most knowled...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
It actually has to do with the fact that the alcohol was bottled in a commercial kitchen, or equivalent. Giving away otter pops or twofer packages of saltines is also okay in the eyes of the health department. I figured as much, but I still think it's quite funny. Thank you again for the informatio...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
You dear, sweet thing. We need more like you. There are a lot of people who are never told anything, and don't do any research, and expect to have their hands held the whole way through. You can insist you are only giving to those who bring there own cups, and you're probably okay. Double check the...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
This is the latest outbreak of the arguments. Given that you do this already, you probably know what to do. I think, if you pour into people's own cups, or use single use stuff (not recommended--although, if you were to order shot glasses and give them away as a souvenir--have something printed on ...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
One of my personal biggest loves in life is wine and I plan to share that with anyone that happens to walk by my campsite when I hold a mini-tasting event. Read up on the food permitting discussions. You don't want to give anyone food poisoning, and you don't want to get a ticket. I know something ...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
Hi. My name is Kylie-Ayn and this will be my first burn. I am 23 years old. I planned on going in 2010, but decided to put it on hold and move to San Francisco, which was completely the right decision at the time. I've been saving up ever since. After non-stop planning, yurt building, and prep work-...

Re: Last minute SUV / minivan rental
Yes! Finally found a decent rental. Have two options that I am checking out tomorrow! Both reasonable flat rate with no mileage charge AND if it comes back playa-ed out he charges only a 100 cleaning fee-- no questions asked. BRC here we come!

Re: Last minute SUV / minivan rental
Hi! My name is Kylie-Ayn and I am a first time burner attending with my boyfriend that has been attending for the past few years. I cannot explain how excited I am now that I am finally able to attend! However, neither of us have experience in renting vehicles for BM. I have been reading posts from ...
