We discussed this with other shiftpod owners, this problem exists in many different dual hose ACs, something is wrong with their design - there is negative pressure and it's impossible to do anything about it.

Re: Dual Hose Air Conditioner
We brought a Shiftpod 2 this year + a dual hose AC with heater. Our camp had power, so it was amazing during the day and during the night. One problem was with the negative pressure that the AC created within the tent. Our shiftpod's walls kept collapsing, so we had to open a few vents open which le...

Can you recommend a specific model please?Captain Goddammit wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2016 10:19 pmI use an A/C that recirculates inside air.
That's the only way to avoid dust issues.

Marking system for stolen & lost bikes, phones, bags, cameras, etc...
I've read that there are hundreds (if not thousands) bikes getting stolen every year. Some people bring really expensive bikes to the playa. And once it's relocated, it's impossible for the owner to find it. Perhaps, the BM ORG could consider some kind of a central database (linked to the profile ho...

Re: 2018 drone policy
Well, this was definitely a stupid decision from the org. The fence won't stop a person from jumping over it.FlyingMonkey wrote:Whats next? Fencing around every burn like last year's Temple? I'd hate to see that but would understand why.

2018 drone policy
Confiscated RC equipment with video footage will not be released back to the participant at the end of the event. https://burningman.org/event/black-rock-city-guide/drones/ This part needs to be explained more. Technically, every drone stores video. What if the SD card with it is removed during the...

Re: Segways in Burning Man
We need a DDV - Department of Douchebag Vehicles. Which gives out an astonishing 0 permits every year.Jackass wrote:I concur, douchebag is the correct nomenclature...alt12 wrote:Segways have no impact on my experience at BM. Segways in Burning Man
Frankly, I feel uncomfortable around people who bring segways to Burning Man. It's such a stupid display of wealth. Poor or rich, aren't we supposed to unite in the dust for at least a week in a year leaving all social differences behind? It feels as if we're a zoo (or a show) that they fly in to en...

Re: Anyone driving from MIAMI?
Just brainstorming in case this unlikely request goes unfulfilled... maybe you can leave the battery at home and buy one in Reno, or wherever you're flying to? Come to think of it, cost would be comparable, or less, than paying someone to transport it, and it would be a LOT more secure if it never ...

Anyone driving from MIAMI?
Is anyone driving from Miami?
I have a electric skateboard that I want to transfer to the playa, which has a huge battery and can't be taken on a plane.
It can be only transported by ground.
I am willing to pay for the hassle.

Wifi
If your camp has some kind of internet connection and you are planning to share it over Wi-fi then I might be of help. Even If you have 1mb we could share it over 100 users without any trouble. The traffic will be shaped in such a way that huge downloads, torrents and basically non-essential stuff w...
