Re: $1,200

Some years ago, I purchased that price ticket for my first burn. It works the same way as the other ticket sales: Register and then when the doors open, go inside and purchase your ticket(s) and vehicle pass. I have watched this sale every year and it has never sold out. In fact, there have been tic...

Re: [IMHO] BMC ticket sale process is broken!

I cannot figure out what he is ranting about. Come April 4, the $1,200 tickets will be available and he can purchase up to two tickets and one vehicle pass. These tickets will be available up to a few days before the event. These tickets have never sold out. Some folks will just use any excuse to co...

Re: Question for camps that serve food to the (playa) masses

I will not address the Food Permit because I have no experience with it.

I will say, that you can give away as much food as you bring and there will always be folks standing in line.

Set your nightly quantity and when you run out - you run out.

There are several areas that are designated: 1. Open Camping mostly on the outer 1/3 of the city. The 6:00 -9:00 side of the city fills first and the 2:00 - 5:00 side of the city fills last 2. Large Walk-In camping area on the outer ring from 2:00 to 5:00 radials 3. Although it is some distance out ...

Miss Ratty -- my friend, How can I ever forget all the fancy duds that you spent so many loving hours sewing up for me? Odin, One of my fondest memories was tracking you down each year to personally deliver to you your supply of the BM Teriyaki and Brown Sugar Venison Jerky. burner von braun.

Thanks for the water truck salute and remembering all the sweat and blood that I left in the dust on the runways at Point 5.

It was a good run that I knew would some day come to an end.

Hope to see you again one day in the 'green dust' of Tennessee.

'To The Moon' in June.....

'To The Moon' in June..... To all my e-playa and Burner friends that I usually visit with at BM each year, I will not be attending the event on the playa next year. Instead, I will be attending the BM regional event 'To The Moon' (TTM) located in Tennessee in June. For an ol' 74 year old, the logist...

I do not have any experience a'tall with trikes that have multiple gears. However, I do have a single-speed trike that I electrified and I have used it for the last four Burns. During the first Burn, one time I was not watching and I allowed my battery run low (when I was about 1/2 mile from my camp...

Re: Segways in Burning Man

Speaking of Segways; There are more applications for Segway technology than just for up-market and able-bodied individuals to go scooting around the Playa. At the 2015 and 2016 Burns, I had occasion to meet a very severely disabled individual who used a lever-activated battery-powered wheelchair and...

I do not own a smart phone.

On my computer monitor, the image is sort-of-clearish.

But, the resolution is too low to see any specific details more than blurry basic big shapes.

Below is a copy of the Nevada law governing electric bike & trikes that BM DMV sent me in 2013. I am not sure of this but I suspect that since the event is held on Federal property that BLM can set whatever speed limit for any type of vehicle that they wish and they can prohibit any type of vehi...
