Re: Securing my tent (sorry to beat a dead horse)

I use this adapter in my impact driver with a generic socket that will fit my lag bolt. These sockets come in dozen of sizes and can be purchased individually at Big BoX DIY stores. https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/tnpla/78598711?cid=ppc-google-New+-+Power+Tools+-+PLA_sqMLZ6h8z___164110813806_c_S&mk...

Re: will these wheels be OK for the playa? not wide enough? will get stuck? (I will also have a regular bike - but wonde

I 'Third' AntiM & Token.

Those wheels are way-way-way too small ---- leave them at home.

After the first day or so many to most of the roads will be so bumpy or 2"-5" deep in pulverized playa dust that even riding a bike with 26" wheels is difficult if not impossible.

You done good by asking.

I remember when in order to place a long distance telephone call, one had to dial 'O' for operator and tell her if it was a Station-To-Station or a Person-To-Person call.

Somehow, it does not seem like it was all that long ago...?

Once again - Be Comfortable.

You will see burners dressed to the EX-EXTREME, you will see burners dressed in the cloths that they wear at home and in between.

No matter what you wear, you will not be over or under dressed.

Once again and again - Be Comfortable.

Re: Adding Lights to Fur Coat?

For my playa night wearing coat, I had (still have) a faux fur coat with the LED wiring sewed into the lining with the LED's sticking out though holes to the outside with a pouch inside to hole the 3 AA battery pack. For 5 years, it has worked great on the playa at night. However, due to geriatric &...

Evaporative Cooler + Dry Ice = Not a good idea.

This goes with driving Long distances with an ice chest with dry ice in the trunk (boot) of your vehicle.

Re: Electric Bike Conversion Basics.

On my new (2013) Schwinn trike I went 100% turn-key e-bikekit.com. Be sitting down when you see the turn-key price for a complete kit. In my opinion, when it comes to these electric drive kits, you pretty much get what you pay for. After 5 burns, my e-bike kit still runs as well as it did in 2013 wh...

$1,200 tickets and $80 vehicle passes are still available...

As of June 3, $1,200 tickets and $80 vehicle passes are still available via your Burner Profile page.

The catch is, vehicle pass is only available with the purchase of a $1,200 ticket.

Log onto your Burner Profile and look to the right.

I will not address the Food Permit because I have no experience with it.

I will say, that you can give away as much food as you bring and there will always be folks standing in line.

Set your nightly quantity and when you run out - you run out.

burner von braun.

Thanks for the water truck salute and remembering all the sweat and blood that I left in the dust on the runways at Point 5.

Hope to see you again one day in the 'green dust' of Tennessee.
