Re: Was there a waiting room problem?
Coming late to this discussion; maybe nobody will read this, but: My girlfriend and I both tried to log on about 11:50 (from separate IP addresses - different states even). I immediately got into the waiting room and eventually did not get tickets. She, on the other hand, did not get into the waitin...

Re: Burning Man 2016 Ticket Information
I don't see an answer about tax-deductibility.
I donated to the "Burning Man Project," which is 501(c)(3) so my donation was tax deductible. Is that different than what people call bmorg, which I assume puts on the event and sells us tickets? Is that a for-profit?

Re: How much water do you use? RV camping
We are a couple in an RV with similar habits as you, Uncle Sticky. Last year we brought 72 gallons and returned with 27-40 gals unused (hard to be more exact because the RV gauge has three lights that measure thirds of the 40 gal holding tank). So we used only 15-20 gals pp. This year the one of us ...

Re: Big camp, small landing party.
We have a mid-size unplaced but awesome camp with interactive fun for passersby. No EA passes, we arrive Monday at dawn and start to search. And what we see is a ton of large empty roped-off areas with maybe one person or couple saying they're holding it for their large camp that isn't there yet. An...

Re: Where is the PNP Thread?
I didn't see any threads for this year, and it's probably because of Ratty's point. However, I thought if it's a festering issue that could be diluting the uniqueness of the BM experience, that people should be paying attention. More to the point, encouraging them to respect the event and the 10 pri...

Where is the PNP Thread?
After last year's Burn there was a robust discussion going on in this forum about the PNP issue, which I followed with interest. There was some discussion about making a point of visiting such camps this year, to engage them and demonstrate a commitment to the 10 principles. I don't see any related ...

Re: Plug n plays running amuk
Interesting discussion and I see the potential - if not present - problem. That said, I wasn't aware of them this year - we camped at 6:45 and J and it was all small and mid-sized camps of friends. I have two questions: 1. Has anyone seen ads for these camps? How do they attract their patrons? Are t...
