Looking for nice line art or plans for the Man.

Hey folks, I am starting out on a project to make a Kite that is shaped like the Man. I thought I might check to see if anyone out there has some vector based art, blueprints, or detailed line art, showing the Man full on front view that they may be willing to share with me for this project to give ...

Re: Burning thoughts

Just because something starts out as a bucket list item doesn't mean that you can't be present and open to serendipity and immediacy when you have the experience, infact that is the point of the "bucket list" trope; to identify a goal so that you invest the time, money and research to take you from ...

Got woken up one afternoon to a naked man drenched in sweat & sunburn stomping through an alley behind camp screaming "I'M NOT GOING BACK! YOU HAVE NO INTEGRITY! I'LL BUY YOU ALL OUT!".. ". Rapist? Pedos? I care if these types show up, even if others welcome them unconditionally. I knew of a party in Mendo county once, full of hippies. A convicted and now released child molester showed up. One of the victims mothers was also at the party. Of course all the fine enlightened radical inc...

Was the roof of your truck all metal, or were some panels plastic? I believe the roof was mostly plastic. I had a single 4" * 4" vent at about 5' 6" the truck door opening is at about 6'3" but the rolled up door comes down a few inches more. Over the vent hole we had a cheap furnace filter. Reading...

I got to give it to Camp Hot Mayo. No music so you could talk, they served beer as well as spirits most of the week, nice big bar, shade, comfortable seating and a nice staff.. The one night we kept drinking and forgot to go home to eat, and they spared us a big bowl of noodles from their own dinner...

Thanks for your instructions and guidance Figjam!! We did a Unicooler in a trash can to cool a Box Truck, and it worked really well. It still felt hot when you were standing and walking around in the box truck because there was about 10" of hot air at the top of truck that lingered, and your head wa...

(And I've never liked the term "virgin" because it legitimizes and extends the use of a word that doesn't mean much, not really, in my view. "Birgin" doesn't really please me either, although I will use it. "Newbie" is alright. There's also "greenhorn", "neophyte", and I'm sure Roget could give us ...

Assuming you are coming in a large enough vehicle, you could skip the bell ends all together, right?

Couldn't you just bend the uncut 10' pvc into the arches required?

This is perfect because I m coming in from Michigan with maybe 2 other people and we wanted to know how big we can make our camp! My plan right now is to use our pickup to get down there and use it as wind block, possibly rent a box van and park the two in a V formation. I have a CostCo carport tha...

I don't think gasket will be too tough but I don't think the FPR insert will work it's too tight a fit at the top and I don't want the fan cut out lower than the vent cut out. If I over fill we might get the fan wet - by the powercord no less :| .. Actually looking at it again I might be able to get...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Ok! Good to know. Perhaps for the fan I will make an adapter plate out of some FRP, bolt it into the tub, seal it, then I can silicone glue the fan to the FRP. Makes the cuts on the tub in Reno easier too I think. For the gasket to the bulkhead, I will have to see what kind of weatherstripping solut...

Re: Why get married at burning man?

The divorce rate here in the States is 50%, divorced by the time they reach 5 years. This statistic is a peeve of mine, an often quoted number was from a 1979 study that indicated that there were roughly twice of many *new marriages* as number of divorces in the same year. It doesn't mean that 1/2 ...
