Yeah I never did encounter a white out, or even wear my goggles at all.

2014 wasn't hot or dusty

I attended last year, 2014, for the first time. It was not nearly as hot or dusty as I was led to believe. My theory is that the rain packed down the dust and evaporated into the air during the vent, helping keep cool. My other theory is that, like most other warnings I had received, these warnings ...

Coulrophobia is real. Obviously that shouldn't stop you from wearing what you want, but I happen to know someone with an intense fear of clowns, and seeing her phobia triggered is shocking. I wouldn't wear a clown costume, just for that reason.

Re: Plug n plays running amuk

How could this possibly upset anyone? I didn't even notice them. I was at BRC for ten days and absolutely nobodys attitude or camping setup or outfit upset me in any way whatsoever. Also, as far as I could tell, nobody else was pissed off by anyone elses attitude or camping setup or outfit.

Do i need an id to get in?

Do you need an ID to get in the gate?

And I wouldn't ask eplaya unless I had researched the question.

If I give away my ticket do I need to change the name on it for the person to get in? It really is not clear in the ticket FAQ.

Re: 3:00 Neighborhood Camps

Is there a reason the 2013 MOOP maps don't have any theme camps in the 3:30 A-C areas? Are those areas usually open to public camping, or is just a mistake?

Just got a few yards of nylon fake fur, as per advice.

Seems to be already falling apart; how is this not moopy?

Safes at Burning Man

This seems as good a place as any to ask this.

If I understand correctly, at the gate they're just looking for people trying to sneak in. If I brought a small (one foot by one foot) safe into Burning Man, would the gate checkers (greeters?) ask to see what's inside?

Picked up four EL-wire sample kits at a garage sale of all things. http://www.thatscoolwire.com/store/images/items/fullsize/10C-EL-SAMP-2.6.jpg I'm making a Mohawk! I'm insanely excited, as I got them at a great price and have been planning on picking up a few for a while now. I'm going to order two...

Popping in to say that, whatever your opinions on RVs are, the new vehicle fee WILL encourage them. I'm looking at traveling with a group of seven, and we had just about decided against an RV, as most of us have trucks we can attach campers to. While I haven't talked to them since the ticket info ca...

Can I pop back into this thread to ask if anyone has seen prisms used as art on the playa? I've Googled around (and found some amazing stained-glass works) but nothing that really uses prisms specifically. Is it possibly the dust issue that was mentioned earlier?

Re: To Art Car or NOT to Art Car

I don't want to come off defensive, especially when I'm getting concrete and expert advice, but I have few things to say in defense of my art piece. Firstly, the heart of the matter is the artistic integrity. The top sculpture needs to be up high as well as mobile to create the desired effect. I cou...

I'd like to bring something small, manageable, and awesome my first year, and I've recently met someone who can get me excellent deals on moto...
