Re: HAIR concerns on the playa? ;)
Extremely long, moderately curly, very fine, annoying as heck hair here. For 9 burns, I've done pigtail braids. As soon as they're too messy for my level of vanity (usually mid-day), I take them out, brush, re-braid. Then when I get ready at night, I do it again. About 3 times a day. I do not wash m...

Re: Tips and Tricks for RV's at Burning Man
Thank you, thank you, thank you! How much Reflectix do you think I'll need for the RV? I think it's 26', not 28'. If we follow your instructions, which I plan on printing because you are amazing and so is all of that, do you think we should still get Aluminet or something similar? That will depend o...

Re: Tips and Tricks for RV's at Burning Man
Any idea how much Reflectix we should get? Actually Gaffers tape does not leave residue so it is used on movie sets by gaffers, riggers and the likes because of its friendly no-mess sticky goodness. Also it is a cloth tape so very strong. Don't use Gaffer's tape. You want blue painter's tape because...

Re: Tips and Tricks for RV's at Burning Man
Hi all... not my first burn, or RV at a burn, but definitely my first time in charge of dust-protection. I've read every thread and list of tips I can find. I think I have a solid plan: Reflectix, Blue Painters Tape, All seams, vents, and windows. Plastic on the floor, more tape, held down w/ rubber...

Re: Help! Looking to share/rent RV from SF to BRC
I’m about to post this: RV’s for Burning Man: The company I have rented from before and will be renting from again this year STILL HAS THEM and they’re definitely the most affordable option. [fee redacted] for 10 days 8 person RV. They’re great with burners and super nice. The catch: they’re in Fres...

Re: Low Income Tickets
THAT exact time (when you're so close) is my FAVE. Your feet hit playa, you run up to will call (which has ALWAYS gone super super fast for me- all 7 times), you get your first hug or your first smile... you meet people in line, many of which are just as elated to be so close! It's like... playa for...

Re: This time I'm gonna...
I'm gonna walk more, bike less.
... I've also somehow never been to the Hug Deli, so that's a priority.
Most importantly, I made a HUGE life choice that I couldn't be more excited about. I installed on my bike...get this... a water bottle holder AND a cup holder.

Haha and my advice there is PUT IT OUUUUUT OF YOUR MINDDDDDD.
Forget about the soonest possible date you could find out...
And focus on all the other things in life (or playa planning) that bring you joy!

Re: Low Income Tickets
Okay, a few things. First off, congratulations on doing what you need to do to get to where you want to go <3 In terms of people who wouldn't be considered "low income" applying, don't worry about it. Last year there were so many low income tickets left over that they extended the application period...

RIDE OFFERED
Hi! I'm Kaya. I have a bit of space left in my car, and I'd love to have company for the ride! I have a spot on my bike rack too. I am leaving from either: Mendocino, Sausalito, or Reno. Hoping for someone with a driver's license, willing to split gas (I drive a hybrid) & vehicle pass. Someone chatt...

Low income tickets-No need to print anything?
Can't find this info for the life of me.
I swear in years past one needed to print out one or two pages.
Anybody know for sure all we need is ID & payment?
Thank you in advance for any snarkiness and/or helpfulness

Seeking an RV share (solo female 7th year)
Hi all! A crazy turn of events means I'm now "able" to attend my seventh year in a row. That turn of events happening, you know, today, means I'm a tad behind on planning. I'm looking for some lovelies to share the experience with! I can share RV cost, gas, food etc. Hope everyone's August is going ...

Paying for a Low Income Ticket
Hiiiii everyone.
In the past, I've paid for my ticket upon arrival, and it still says to do that in the initial email.
BUT
In the email I just got (my confirming confirmation?), there's an option to "get tickets" on Ticketfly's site.
And, thusly, I am confused.
Halp?
