2017 was my first TYFYF - I was not expecting it and pleasantly surprised when I got it.
And thanks to you, Elliot, for showing me the ropes on Perimeter.

Not going to see you guys this year but definitely coming back soon. It's been a great ride!

Too bad they didn’t sonic boom the place. If you have never been privy to crack-of-dawn sonic boom-boom, it is truly epic. No words can describe. I’ve been through several. Mostly on China Lake in the Mohave but also two Space Shuttle double whammy’s. You are literally on the edge of shitting your ...

My great uncle had a rock fall on his head in a mine. You could balance a tennis ball in the divot on top of his head. As a kid this was the coolest thing ever!

I'm sure GP&E are going to love adding this to the list of what they have to check for  Not to mention how much time it adds to the lines. Not a bad suggestion but it has a lot of knock-on effects. [quote="some seeing eye"]I would propose phasing in every bike through the gate has to have a lo...

Carport replacement poles

I'd swear I saw a post on here with a supplier for replacement poles for the Costco carports.
I've just about beaten google to death with terms like "replacement spare costco site:eplaya.burningman.org"
Does anybody remember where one can buy replacement leg poles for my carport?

Damn it was hot!

People in my camp were saying it was the hottest burn they can remember. I heard rumors that temps were over 100 but never saw any data I could trust. Seemed to me like a lot of folks were hiding under shade in the afternoons.

I get depressed but never hit that awful bottom. For me the answer would be go.
For you... If you have people there you love it could be fine.
If you'll stay isolated there - probably better not to go.

Hey Monkey,

You guys are great!
I was right across the street from you in 2015, loved the bocce and your "catcalls" to passers by.
Hopefully you won't be too upset that I am also bringing bocce this year - come to 3:30 and B for dyeing, drinks and more.
