Wear as little as you want but don’t forget the sunscreen and the anti-chafe goop. Every year I end up helping a campmate who has suddenly started chafing in places they’ve never chafed before.

Today I drove myself and my gear from Northern Colorado to Wendover.

Just had a camp mate stopped in Nixon for supposedly driving with his high beams on (he wasn't). It's definitely happening for oftentimes manufactured reasons. Be careful out there folks.

We've taken a Sioux tipi before. We used rebar to hold the canvas cover to the Playa. It held up amazingly well. If it wasn't so difficult to transport the 15 x 22ft wooden tree trunks we'd bring it every time.

Made sure I had the current car insurance card in the car, and verified my Roadside Assistance coverage and details.

Alcohol purchased.

All non perishable foods purchased and packed. Water packed.

Sewed my canvas floor into the correct size/shape.
Added a silver panel down the sides of a slightly too small thrift store light jacket.
More random crap continues to arrive in the mail.

Getting all the little stuff. Med kit restocking, new ear plugs, skin and body care stuff, bike lights, bike decoration, new bike basket, making food shopping list, planning camp meal, sewing some final costume stuff. I basically don't drink plain water on Playa. Every bottle of water I pour myself has an electrolyte tablet added to it. My personal fave is the original formula nuun, it's got a very light refreshing taste, and no sugar so it's not too sweet

Got myself a (Yeti) insulated mug with handle and lid, and an insulated can coozy that does not need to be kept cold to keep your drink cold.
