Re: Newbie from Minnesota donchaknow
Greetings! I'm from Minneapolis, and there is a substantial burner community here. There's a meeting at Morissey's Pub in Uptown, every other Wednesday or so. I haven't been yet, but I'm going to after the ticket sale. Gods willing, I will get that sweet sweet golden ticket. My first year, I went wi...

Re: 2017 Art Theme: Radical Ritual
I believe radical rituals include blood sacrifice, virgin burnings, and mass orgies. Sooooo.... Burning man as usual? Theme doesn't bother me, going to BM is itself a radical ritual. What does bother me is if the Man is caged in that building.

Sooooo... If someone wants to buy a presale ticket to guarantee entrance into BRC, that same person could also buy main sale tickets and then sell the presale ticket to another burner? is that kosher?

I've read some people eat it right as they get it. Some people save it until they reach the Main Gate.

bump bring some baking soda. Pour a little in your hand and just a little bit of water. Mix it together until it forms a paste. Rub your hands together and then rub your armpits. You will still sweat, but you won't stink. Stuff works great. Since junior high school I've used plain baking soda. Arm ...

I was freaking out about ticket stuff, but I got my email last Wednesday, it's supposed to be at my door by today.
I'd say the time to freak out would be by late* next week.

Re: Has there ever been a Catholic Mass on the playa?
Never say never.... I have attended many a Catholic mass on the battlefield where the priest used a 55 gal. drum, the hood of a jeep or a stack of ammunition boxes as the alter and these we were located a long-long way from a sanctified church. I'm bringing glass. I can/jar my own produce so I'm bringing canned cooked venison, tomato soup, green beans, peaches, tomatoes, salsa, pickled peppers, and jam to the playa. To reduce the MOOP effect if something DOES shatter en route, I'm going to put each jar inside of a Ziploc bag. Open jar, po...
