My dog smells something fierce, but, alas, I cannot bring him to the playa. Good for you, bad for me because I love him so and he's the custest puppy in the world and I really don't mind the smell.

I am happy to come sniff your drugs though.

Yes it's bad. Holy mother of christ. Do you know what this means? Seriously filmjoyxjormfixster, it's gonna be the mother of all dusty of dusty years. Let me tell you, I've been going for 7 years and I know what I'm talking about. I understand you haven't been going as long, but take it from me, an ...

Parachute bad, aluminet good... Last few years I've been using that shade cloth you can get at the warehouse home/garden supply store in the garden section. Comes in 30'x6' rolls and you can just get a grommet tool and grommets and add your own, easy enough to do. Good old fahioned tarps will do jus...

Give me a break Koontar. Ease up man, you don't know any of these people, spending a week in the desert doesn't give you the right to judge them. How do you know those people you're judging haven't been coming to BM for 10 years. Maybe they just had a baby, they still want to come out to the desert ...

How to prepare? Read the main web page for info and don't solely rely on e-playa for advice and facts. There are plenty of people on eplaya with good intentions and possibly good advice, there are also alot of people with their head up their ass (first timers and old timers). Just remember that it's...

You gotta be kidding, you are kidding, right? The porta potties were easily found along the 3:00 and 9:00 promenades to the man, nice white flashy light above each bank. Also a big bank up each street at Ego, were they really that hard to find? I thought the pottie situation this year was way better...

Just bring a bunch of random buttons and sew them on people's clothes, not for any kind of official or practical use but more for shits and giggles. People would get home and 3-4 weeks from now look down and say "Where the hell did that button on my sleeve come from?...ohh yeeahhh.. hee hee." Or did...

Buy two 2' pieces of pipe and use them to bend the rebar like a candy cane. A 2' piece of rebar with a bend at the top that allows both ends to stick into the ground works pretty good as a tie down/anchor.

I used one of these last year riding around on my bike, just hooked it on the handle bars. In camp I just hung it from the structure over my chair. Worked very well. Definitely bringing it again. Never clogged.

I usually just get a bunch of the 2.5 gallon water containers (them ones with handles) from a grocery store in Reno on my way up. Works well for me. That way I don't have to mess with finding a place to fill something larger.

If you didn't wash your bike and lube your chain/gears after last year (like I didn't), check your chain, it may be in need of replacement. I just looked and mine's all rusted and unhappy.
