I attended this year, 2006 after much adieu about the event. I just graduated high school in June 06, so I was in the same position you will be. I attached myself to a group though, and went without any kind of parental guidance or supervision. I wrote a note to someone in PM that went unanswered. I...

Probably too late for it by now unless you want to overnight things, but you can just pack all your gear up and ship it ahead of time and pick it up once you get to reno. http://www.thecityofreno.com/mailbox/index.html From my thread: I thought I would follow up on this for posterity's sake. Same problem here, tried with new firefox and IE all updates. It's not that something isn't working from what I see but there isn't any page to register for a login, since I notice the sticky says the logins for rideshare and eplaya are 'different' but it doesn't go into detail.

Very interesting, but for anyone interested, the adobe reader is very clunky and bloated. There is a very nice standalone, freeware alternative: Foxit Reader is small (the download is less than 1MB), so it downloads quickly. It doesn't need any installation, so you can start to run it as soon as you...

Hello again all… Very recently I had a chance to attend the Entheon Village party in downtown Chicago. As a fundraiser for some of my more interesting bored-at-work / hobbyist print personalities to attend BM 06 I figured I could kill two birds with one stone: help these people make the trek to BRC ...

Surviving police encounters

I thought that it would be a word to the wise to be well read on the law when it comes to police action in regards to traffic stops and searches of private property. Some people may be stopped along the few hundred or few thousand mile long road when headed to BRC, and it only seems right to spread ...

Tome of Media [Images / Movies]

tome n. 1. One of the books in a work of several volumes. 2. A book, especially a large or scholarly one. Here I'd hoped to assemble a partial list of burningman media pages. I know such a list is not and can not by it's very nature ever be completed, but I've done the best I can. I'd grown tired o...

I've been toying with the idea of playing a mute either in part or for the duration of my stay in BRC 2006.
