We usually leave the morning after the burn for the drive back to LA-LA land. Gives us a few hours rest and daylight to navigate by. I realize that may not fit your timetable, but after being on the playa, its nice to have daylight. Be safe, seen enough accidents on my way home from phishy festivals...

I've had Heineken and Becks in the can. I always make sure to wipe first.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem during the day, but pick a route that has the least impact on burners. ie, dont fire down 6:00, take a circular route if possible.

Be prepared to get heckled and don't drive too fast. Be patient.

I bring 2 pairs of broken in skate sneakers, and a pair of flops to lounge around my camp.

And new socks, I use between 2 - 3 pairs a day.

I just spoke to Jet Blue and in order to encourage people to check all their luggage, they are allowing an additional checked piece of luggage.

That and before the fuel gets hot enough, you can have a most excellent fire.

Clean that MSR and it will make you happy.

One thing to remember is that the playa looks totally different at night as well as from day to day. My first night I wandered around lost for 3 hours.

Also, don't accept candy from strangers. That can throw you for a loop.
