Hello, EBS&PB folks! I'm one of the Birgins this year camping with Elliot and crew. We (husband and I) are starting the trek from Oklahoma next Friday, and just about packed and ready. My nerves are humming with excitement! I can't wait to meet you all in the dust (and bugs).

I'm going to resurrect this thread because I couldn't find an adequate new one. I took the advice below last year (silicone lube: Gun Oil) and it was SO much better than coconut oil! Definitely try it! I was even able to still wear it down on the 7th day, which in the past has become when it ceases...
