Re: Law Enforcement in 2105

only had one run-in with LEOs....we were trying to find a Ranger (BM) to ask about grey water removal. Truck rolls by and all we could see was "RANGER" on the door so a campmate chased them down. Campmate: *asks questions about grey water* Ranger: We wouldn't know...we aren't "that kind of ranger". ...

thanks everyone, for your personal input. this is what i was looking for. while i have no details on the trailer other than estimated size, i have no doubt everything is safe and ready to go. I am riding with veterans, so that won't be an issue. Whoops! Per the statements that Elliot made, don't as...

Re: Any tips for hauling a trailer you can share with a newb

what's in the back of the truck? It better be heavier than the trailer, or else the trailer will be driving and steering the truck. keep weight over the axles, not in the ends. does the trailer have brakes? what is the hitch rating? is it a factory hitch? trailer light pigtail? go down hill in the ...

Any tips for hauling a trailer you can share with a newbie?

hey all! i will be riding with 2 friends from Texas and we will be sharing the driving. The vehicle is a 5 speed Nissan Truck, and we're towing a 10 foot trailer with all the gear. What fan are folks using for the bucket cooler these days? Seeing lots of 12V sub ...

In theory, all ticket orders shipped within the US (USPS & UPS) should receive a shipping notification with a tracking number. Re: cooling your tent or van

Now you're getting somewhere. You could also run each one individually, so that you could use the fan by itself or turn the pump on first in order to pre-charge the pad with water before drawing air...It gives the cooler a nice, impressive start. Um...ok....that makes sense.....but are we now talki...

Re: cooling your tent or van

What Jackass said, but if you want somethinjg a little more substantial than a binder clip, your local auto or boat store probably has something like this: http://www.c-mesales.com/contents/media/t_600b%20red%20closeup%20brochure.jpg assuming you have wing nuts already on the terminals. If not then...

Jody, you can join this group on facebook and post here. it's for the Carny Corral and the Midway. they have some body painters signed up (and looking for others like stilt walkers, spinners, etc) and you sound like you would fit right in. you can also possibly camp with Midway Village (where the Mi...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Positive from battery- positive on fan, positive on pump. Negative from battery- negative on fan negative on pump. Since it quite a low-draw circuit you could just strip the wire off about the last 6in, wrap it around battery terminals, put a binder clip holding the winding. Just don't let the two ...

Re: cooling your tent or van

The pump and the fan will each need a positive and a negative from your battery, how you make that happen and where you make the splice doesn't really matter as long as both units get both positive and negative from your battery. so after my splice, the main wire to the battery will have positive a...

Re: cooling your tent or van

For battery, you need a 12 volt, and then get the largest one you can afford/comfortably carry and store. You won't regret having more power, only less. . Ok, so if anyone could please link to or post a pic of exactly what this battery looks like, I'd appreciate it. Don't want to het the wrong one....
