The camera worked wonderfully here in southern California. It was much clearer than the previous two years, with only the occasional buffering, even with 6,500+ viewers during the peak of the Burn last night. I had a black screen for a bit this afternoon, but I was heading out anyway. When I got bac...

HyperJohn just gave it a test tonight. There was a lot of buffering, but it was nice to see the lights, dust, bikes, dust, fire and dust while it was up. I was gonna post the link here, but it appears down right now, as well as the link had bmtest in it, so I don't think that'll be the final link. K...

From Molz Smohq is out in the front yard making a mini man for us to burn. Now that Lucy is sleeping I'm so sad not to be there. The nights are the worst . The dreams and the thoughts of what would I be doing if I were there huant my mind. I am glad and sad for the extra internet coverage this year....

Our reason for not being there again this year is 15 months old. Old enough to leave with grandma for a week, but we couldn't bear to be away from her that long. So all three of us WILL be there next year. http://g.photos.cx/bubble1sm-75.jpg And once again, thank you HyperJohn! Will there be a Hyper...

Van 50% loaded. VERY short shopping list. Water in Reno. Bedsleep and Fullshower in Reno's Golden Phoenix. Monup Sunup, BRC bound! Goin' on about 4 hours sleep so things are rather spangly to me right now. Luckily the lovely Lady Libation is driving the first shift. See you all at Home! Be SAFE! Pea...

Leaving San Pedro (Lost Angeles) Sunday morning bright, freshly showered, coffee filled and early. A nice $19.95 stay at the Golden Phoenix in Reno (thanks Maid Marian and Linda Gonzales {1-800-648-1828 code: GBURN04}) for one last bedsleep and fullshower, then Monday morning, BRC bound! Look for us...

Okay, this is too cool, so I just had to add this: I received a message yesterday from The Wave saying "I've moved my ' Martini Time with the Rat Pack ' to coinside with your event. Please check it out on the BRC's first choice for playa tunage, Power 92.5! It'll be all Frank, Dean, and Sammy tunes ...

You can be sure I'll be there Mark. Xara has been one of my favorite havens, and I'm saddened to hear that this'll be it's last year on the Playa (hopefully the subtext I caught is true and there'll be some other incarnation at future Burns). O, but what of the beautiful monastery of Dulzura? Will X...

Just a quick update before I get back to Playa Preparations (are we REALLY leaving in 5 days?!? Ooof!). Due to newly realized budgetary constraints (Bless you Coventry, VT and #@*%! the NYPD and their accursed, expensive impound yard!), the amount of libations for M@tM will be many bottles fewer. Bu...

Well, it seems that my beautiful barmaid and wife will be assisting in the mixin' sober this year. Turns out we're fertile! HUZZAH! We'll most likely miss 2005's Burn to be with our spawn, but 2006 should see the martinis flowin' again, with the wonderful assist of grandma's babysitting for the week...

Martinis at the Man
Well, last year's M@tM was such a resounding(ly drunken) success, how could we not do it again this year? We went through 5 bottles of vodka (Stoli and Absolut), 2 bottles of Gin (Tanqueray), 3 (not enough) bottles of cranberry (for cosmopolitans), 5 (of 10, lesson learned) bags of ice, most of a hu...

Are there any preliminary drawings of the Temple of Stars?
I'm starting work on a drawing for this year's burn and I wanted a section of it to depict at least a portion of this year's temple. Last year's theme announcement contained an artist's conception of the Temple, but alas, not in the year I would like that information. Any help would be appreciated. ...
