Re: Has anyone else tried sewing their own clothes?
Looks spectacular, Lucky. Now just finish up those wrists? (Might have to hand sew if your liner and fur are already attached all the way around?) I made a full length duster fur with a purple paisley liner for my girlfriend this year and it took FOREVERRRRRRRR. https://ibb.co/MDVDsLx https://ibb.c...

Made this faux fur jacket in case it is cold at night at BM. It is reversible too. Been years I have made a jacket for my self. Can't wait to wear it now. What you think? :) :D Faux fur jacket (outside) Faux fur jacket (inside) Very nice and looks well done :coffee: Wow! That is beautiful.

Salvation Army and Saint Vincent de Paul. Hollywood Blvd. has Iguana Thrift Store..great place and some ethnic clothing store at decent prices. Lots of slightly more whacky and trashy stores for fun stuff. On Sunday..Melrose Trading Post flea market.

I was going to engage in a little shirtcocking to show off my new PA I was planning on getting but I checked and there's not enough time between now and then for it to heal so next year will be the big reveal I guess.

Re: How many outfits or costumes do you bring?
Hey there peoples, I am going for the first time this year and am struggling with how many items and articles of clothing I should bring. I'm putting together outfits and am wondering how many I should do. I have a bunch of questions that are driving me crazy. One of my girlfriends is bringing two ...

Wear whatever you want. Nothing is shunned and if someone tries to say anything negative about what you wear...screw them. Cosplay could be fun as long as you don't overdo the heavy garments during the day.Goldfish3O wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2013 7:21 pmIs cosplay an acceptable thing? Or is it a little shunned?

I'm looking for a ride also and I have a vehicle pass too. It's a good bargaining chip when looking for ride. It saves the driver you go with $100.

Re: Burgins looking to share RV
You want to make it the "best experience" but you are looking to share an RV with people you don't know? It's your first year; tent it. Really feel the experience. RVs can be isolating. Not to mention quite small when sharing. I disagree with that completely. A tent is just as isolating as an RV wh...

I agree with what one of the other posters said. If it's only two people, two yurts seems excessive. Drop one and it will be less you have to transport and put up.

My problem is I'm going to be by myself and I don't know anything about putting together a shade and from what I've seen of them one person trying to do it isn't going to work out well. Any ideas for a simple one I can make? In 2015 I bought a 10' by 20' reflective tarp but never used it because I h...

In lieu of a shade structure, which I am having a real hard time figuring out how to build, are there any in tent fans that work well and aren't too expensive or is there no such thing as a portable fan that I assume would run on battery or charged with usb and will it actually help so I don't wake ...

Yet another post about PVC pipe
To amend my previous post asking about what size PVC pipe I should use to build my shade structure with, should I even use it at all or is it just too weak to stand up to strong winds? Should I just go with EMT pipe instead?

Pop Up Tents
I'm going alone for the third time and pitching a tent is not easy by yourself. I got help last time but I don't want to always count on other people to help, you know, the whole radical self reliance thing. So I'm wondering, are popup tents sturdy enough for the real strong winds we get if they're ...

Re: Shave your balls NOW !!
Was advised to do it before my first burn in 2015, did it and have ever since. When on the playa you don't get little mud balls that cause tangles from dust and sweat, the rest of the year it just feels nice and if someone has their mouth on or around them it makes it nicer for them.
