I'm speaking of the legality of serving wild game or home harvested livestock/dairy/etc... I can serve venison I harvested at a private dinner...not at a restaurant or the general public. Yes, a food permit is a given for over 125 people (which I said I am trying to serve about 20 campmates).

Well thanks, Lefrench. BTW...yes wild game (and all domestic livestock) has to be processed in a USDA inspected facility to be served to the public. Private supper clubs...like I would like to have on the playa...fall in a grey area.

Thank you all for the info and interest. I should have been more specific! I'm looking to cook for a camp of about 20 people maybe 4 wild food meals during the week. Could be a little more or less...I can make it stretch. I have equipment for a full outdoor kitchen...I just dont particularly want to...
