Re: Like Access to ePLAYA? Last Best Chance To Save Net Neutrality Today!

Too little too late. FCC already voted today to gut net neutrality rules. Sad. But the battle is not over, it won't take effect for perhaps a year, and may be tied up in court for a while.

Like Access to ePLAYA? Last Best Chance To Save Net Neutrality Today!

ATTENTION ALL, REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL VIEW! LAST DAY TO LET THE FCC KNOW YOU WANT TO PRESERVE #NetNeutrality! There's a SUPER EASY way to do this – takes less than 1 minute! Do you enjoy Netflix, Youtube, FB, internet news (“real” or “fake”), ordering bourbon or bacon online, (omg, even porn)? REGA...

Re: 2017 BLM Inspection Info Delay

I have been away from ePlaya for many months, and needing a playa fix in a big way today I logged on. This post caught my eye first, as this year I decided to participate in Resto for the first time, and then volunteered to stay for the BLM inspection. I am certainly in no position to speak for the ...

I will be there as far as I know. I am camping with a theme camp this year instead of solo so I don't yet know the timing of my other obligations. But regardless, I will find a way to get over and see you all again. Last year was fun but this year will be funner and more bigly! :D I am in a similar...

Read everything you can on the Burning Man dot org website regarding preparation. Take it all seriously and prepare. https://burningman.org/event/preparation/ Camp or solo? My experience has been solo and I can highly recommend it. Friends? You will meet a whole lot of people and have the opportunit...

Re: Virgin burner in SoCal

Hello. What BBadger said, read every page linked there. Then read some more on the org's website. If you are relatively young (relative to me), in good health, good shape, etc., I suggest that you go for it solo tent camping. All differences aside, the more one interacts with others, the richer one'...

Your pink bus is absolutely stunning! I wish I was confident driving something that large. I have just once. For 15 minutes. (Thanks Motz!) Thanks Savannah. The bus was built for highway driving and is a lot of fun out on the open road. City driving is a bit intense. It really might not take ...

Re: Oregon Burner Contemplating 2017

Hi Daisymaybee, I was curious as to whether or not you were going with the 2017 Tour of Homes idea. That sounded as if it could be a blast. If so, and if you need 'homes' to consider for your tour, mine might work well with your project. It is a 1963 vintage Greyhound bus converted lovingly into an ...

The Man burns Saturday night around 10:00 PM or so. The Temple burns Sunday night. Spend Monday mooping and helping others strike their camps and leave Tuesday morning early to avoid the long lines of exodus.

Re: It's.... The 2017 Main Sale Excitement & Congrats Thread!

So i'm left with the question as to whether i missed something or did something wrong OR there was some kind of glitch due to an overload of the system. Either way i will remain doggedly self reliant and pursue the STEP tickets and the next sale in mid-April. Wanted to post this in case others may ...

@Blue Bike - you should get in touch with ticketsupport@burningman.org to provide your order #, burner profile info, and pertinent details so they can take care of things on their end. Without their assistance, the system would probably prevent you from registering for either STEP or the OMG sale b...

Re: It's.... The 2017 Main Sale Excitement & Congrats Thread!

Trilo, maybe you can answer this. By the time I advanced to the purchase ticket screen all tickets and VPs were already in other people's carts and none available. I hit the purchase tickets button anyway and a VP only became available, so I purchased it. Email confirmed I have purchased a Main Sale...

Hi Burners! I got to the purchase ticket page in today's main sale only to find that all tickets and VPs left available were already in other people's shopping carts. So I hit the purchase tickets button anyway and it showed 1 available but no tickets. I checked the 1 VP and hit purchase anyway, kno...

Lucky, The lion costume is fun, well maybe more fun for us than it is for her, and I had to look twice to see that it wasn't her fur with a lion cut. Correction on my faulty math above: Splitting the "premium" paid for a Pre-Sale ticket in the aftermarket with someone selling one would make it $690 + fees, not $640 + fees. Sorry about my math error, crazy day here.

Pre-Sale & da Vinci Tickets vs Main Sale Tickets

The much discussed phenomenon of burners purchasing the premium priced tickets in the Pre-Sale or da Vinci sale to cover their buts then purchasing Main Sale tickets and re-selling the higher priced tickets has garnered a great deal of snark (which I often find creative and entertaining) and no smal...
