Find that Kiwi: Missing Burner/Paraglider Needs Help!

Heya, Burn Family - this is a call for any aid you can offer a fellow local Burner. My brother, who is a bartender here in New Orleans - has a wonderful landlord and friend, James "Kiwi" Johnston (Oroc) who has gone missing while paragliding in Nevada, around Eureka, NV (about 4 hours east of Reno o...

Sealing Tent Mesh Options?

Howdy, Burning Man Hivemind! I'm thinking about trying out some new and improved tent mesh sealing options (the old blanket patches which have been attached with a zillion safety pins just isn't cutting it after many Burns) and was hoping to get some communal input/wisdom . . . Option 1: Use plastic...

Re: Sleeping in a Cargo Van. Should I rent one?

This burn, rather than deal with the hassle of setting up tent and shade structure (the older I get, the more of a PITA that is) . . . I was considering renting a U-Haul van to camp in, but I don't have a carport. What say the hivemind here? Is it still worth it, or would I be better off with the us...
