Yes, absolutely I am. Enjoyed a lovely Burning Man this year with a mini camp of Brits - and popped in to Quixote's now and again to see what they were up to.
Did I see you yesterday at the Nowhere meeting?

My playmate and I found some frolics over at the Lost Penguin's, erm, "beaver eating competition". I think all the "lifestyle couples" at Burning Man managed to make their way over to that contest that night. If we'd wanted to make friends with all the swingers at Burning Man I think most of 'em wer...

I'm just opposed to the amount of cheese people feel the need to bring to the temple burn. Yes, it's a potentially meaningful moment - and would be more so if we could all just hang out there in a vaguely thoughtful manner. Most participants do... it's a great time to soak up the sunset, reflect, ta...

So you think the girl who swapped acid for weed was with the BLM? Is there any way for you to find out more information on that? I'm just trying to ascertain whether LEOs would effectively set you up or entrap you in order to find out if you were a drug user / supplier. But it seems from what you're...

DJ big E is right. Rightly or wrongly Burning Man is growing and, with 35,000 participants, is becoming a major public event as well as a major city. It's hilarious that the signs disappear, and "way cool" that the street layout starts to dissolve after the burn... UNLESS you or one of your friends ...

It was a remote controlled aircraft - only a couple of feet across at most. And really light, because I saw a guy holding the thing just after the temple burn. It was lit up with el-wire. I saw someone operating it on Friday night, flying the thing above the Disorient bus. It was one of my favourite...

Ear plugs do nothing to prevent the boom-boom-boom of heavy bass from transmitting through the ground into your body, tent or RV.
The fact that we mixed up the house/breaks/DnB with punk/reggae/ska/rock/country/random show tunes/whatever probably helped relations, also.
I wish there...

I'd find the temple burn far more spiritual if all of them - the bagpiper, the chorister singing "Ave Maria", the gamelan, the gong players, the art cars, everyone - shut up and kept quiet. The temple burn means so many different things to different people that it seems unfair for a few loud groups ...

Oh come on. Earlier in the week it was pitch black. I hate blinkies and glowsticks but they were absolutely required to stop people bumping into me! I enjoyed cycling out to the fence to watch the stars and they were very much visible... maybe this diminished on the last couple of nights but I don't...

My opinion on the Dicky box keeps shifting. First up, it wasn't a particularly original idea. I've seen this done twice before in London - first in an art piece at the Serpentine Gallery called The Maybe, with Tilda Swinton living in a box; then the David Blaine "Above The Below" thing with him livi...

I don't mind there being superstar DJs on the playa, but I utterly oppose them being announced. I think the board over at Opulent with the names of the DJs was a really bad idea. Where's the spontaneity or radical self-expression in that? Burning Man shouldn't turn into yet another music festival......

Fortunately Burning Man is about a lot more than the music. I did hear some good music, but I know from previous years not to go expecting much more than a lot of stupid techno. As someone from England I have to say that a lot of the sound systems at Burning Man play a lot of dated rave music the li...

Erin, Misty Peaks, Sparky (?) met you night of the burn
Hi We met you the night the man burned... think you are from Salt Lake City, you were very generous and kind to us. We were a couple, the boy from England and the girl from Seattle. We gave you some Japanese candy and a London prostitute card!! If you see this drop us a line - we just want to thank ...
