We provide 2 oz paper ketchup cups with cold sake. Everyone gets a clean cup, we monitor our volume by keeping count of our cup consumption and shut down when we hit 500/day. We burn them after (the cups). We go through about a gallon an hour during the day, less at night as we are not too lit-up. T...

Bring more than you expect to pour and leave the rest with the clean up crew when you leave. Limit your serving size by providing your own cups. Decrease the length of your bar to limit your exposure to new arrivals. Don't provide seating. Talk first, pour second. Have only one bartender at a time. ...

Japanese film crew
Hello - I did not see any film crews from Japan. We did see a lot of Japanese people this year, compared with other years. But nothing formal, like a film crew. You might check with the Geisha Palace, as I think they hosted a lot of Japanese people this year.

Sir Loin's rant in Piss Clear
Stay home with your babies, Burning Man is an adult community. How would you feel if the Jaeger-girls roamed the streets of Disneyland, or if porn was broadcast during Saturday morning cartoons? That would be wrong, right? So, why do you bring your little kids to Burning Man? I say, round them up, d...

Is Sakénoma Art? To a critic like you, maybe not! Art is an idea, manifested. Simply attempting to be creative is all that matters. Burning Man gives us the vehicle to try and be creative. Sakénoma is my expression. We build a little Japanese Sakébar in the dessert. It looks cool, we explore ancient...

Who wants to help us celebrate 5 years of Sakénoma at BRC? Sakénoma is set gently back, off the Esplanade, on the corner of 4:30 and Brave. We are not...

Just promise us that you write "Burner Inside" on her belly. My wife came two years ago, pregnent. She was hot during the day and squirt bottles and iced drinks were all she needed to stay comfortable, plus a toilet every 15 minutes. Just be careful, watch out for tent stakes, guy wires and other ob...

In 2005, we only get 9 streets, the google site shows 10 streets. The photo above shows 9 and it is likely a 2005 image. Does the fact that there are only 9 streets indicate that this years expected population would be smaller? I see a lot of people trying to unload tickets on Craigslist and through...

There's a Shinto purification ceremony at Sakenoma called KagamiBiraki. It's like an exorcism, designed to cleanse your aberrations. Wednesday through Sunday at 11:00 AM. It might be right up your alley. Amnesia and 9:00. Call it active meditation, with a taste of the "Drink of the Gods". Sakenoma h...

Wherever you stay, don't forget the earplugs, eye patch and sleeping pills (optional). Don't drink anything for a least an hour before turning in, (so you don’t wake up to go pee) limit your alcohol and load up on the salt. Try and go to sleep at about the same time each night/day. Be sure that you'...

At Sakenoma, 9:00 and Amnesia, we have a gift bar and serve over a thousand 1.5 ounce serving of cold sake each year in burnable paper cups. No mixes, cups or anything needed. Just the desire to wash away the playa taste, and there's no better vehicle to do that than cold sake. I dare anyone to disa...

Hey Neighbor! I'm with Sakenoma, and we're near you at 9:00 and Amnesia. Maybe next door neighbors. And I'll bet that cold sake taste as good with plaster as it does with Playa dust. There is something about the mineral content that pairs nicely with cold sake. Better than tequila and salt. So all y...

I run a theme camp called Sakenoma. (9:00 and Amnesia) We serve more cold sake in 1 week than most sushi bars serve all year. I've never been warned about underage drinking by anyone at BM over the past 4 years. I became aware of my liability when it occurred to me earlier this year. Now, I tag my p...

Sakenoma is back and located at 9:00 and Amnesia
Sakenoma is back and placed at 9:00 and Amnesia. We serve more cold sake in 1 week than most sushi bars serve all year! I think serving cold sake on a dusty dried up prehistoric lakebed is better than any food and wine pairing experiment you could ever imagine. Somehow, the alkaline dust, which is e...
