Yea, it had a big crack across it and had to be replaced so we didn't worry to much about it. Nothing like rusting glass lolElliot wrote:Looks fun.
May I suggest covering all glass when grinding and welding. Sparks WILL melt into glass, forming "sandpaper". Ask me how I know.

Ultra marathon
Anyone on here ever run the 50k hosted by Pink Lightning? Ran my first marathon earlier this year and am super excited to run an ultra.

Re: The Car Thread
Thanks! Still has a long way to go before it's show worthy. We redid the whole backhalf of the frame. Built it on a table and then squared and welded it. It has a triangulated four link. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj531/janowski710/Mobile%20Uploads/20141025_134007_zps5fyvyxxb.jpg http://i12...

Re: Welder/fabricator
Im glad I'm not the only one who appreciates a good tig weld. Always thought it would be neat to weld up a aluminum kinetik sculpture for the Playa. With all the wind out there I imagine it would have some decent movement. Maby even to much.

Re: The Car Thread
Hey everyone! This is my 98 s10 project. Put air ride on all 4 corners and slapped a built 350 in it with a 700r4. Was definitely more work than I could have imagined but I learned a lot in the build process. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj531/janowski710/DSC_0901_zpsz5oarj8s.jpg http://i1266...

Re: Welder/fabricator
Always forget the details. I live Michigan. So anywhere within reasonable distance or on Playa for setup. I will have the first week of July off work if it's not close enough for a weekend deal

Appreciate the link eldergeek. I was definitely thinking about lakes on fire if I can find a ticket. Looks like a good time that's relatively local

Re: Virgin burner from Michigan
I'm driving out, about a 38 hour drive, with naps of course. Probably could have told a little about myself in the intro. I'm from the Macomb area and was given a amazing opportunity to work for GM at the Warren tech center. I'll be 23 this July. A bit of a gear head but I am interested in almost al...

Virgin burner from Michigan
Heya! Going to my first burn this year. I'm going at it alone and couldn't be more excited for the journey. Would love to take friends, but they are busy with life so what can ya do. I learned a longtime ago that you never know where an adventure can take you, so never miss something because of fear...
